Yes indeed. I was wondering if this racquet is good for offensive.

I did a quick search of the forum and found people saying positive things about the 791 and sting Zen racquets. However I'm considering the Katana Type XO model at the moment, anyone tried it?

The guy who is selling these Zen racquets in Australia says the katana range won't arrive until mid-April. Guess we'll all have to wait a couple more weeks :-(

...but for that price you could get a high end Yonex one...

You probably need to spend close to $300AUD for a high end Yonex one?

I ended up getting a Babolat Satelite Synchro for $70AUD :p

I hear the Katana XO is going to go for around $150AUD.

lolz...I got mine off xinsports eBay store...it was on auction at the time...Their other website is www.xinsports.com.au

    Theres also these:
    http://www.jtultra.com.au/
    http://www.calibreaustralia.com/badminton/catalog/

Calibre has Yonex racquets ranging from AUD40-250, AUD250 is for the AT900s, NS9000s are AUD230...Just e-mail them for their current price list...prices might have changed.

So I think if your willing to spend AUD180+ on a badminton racquet you might as well get something really high end! It doesn't have to be Yonex, RSL and Proace are pretty much up there in my book and their racquets aren't all that expensive either!

    So what???

I am not saying Katana is a great racket (I never tried one myself, not any other Zen model for that matter).. But I can't see any reason why it couldn't be as good or better (for many pros, amateurs) than lets say an NS9000.

If the Katana is a better racket, then it may be worth more than "a High end brand xxx" racket..

To my knowledge there isn't any nanocarbon+Kevlar racket Yonex has produced.. So if you want that it may be worth the cost..

Its like responding to someone who is interested in a Koenigsegg Car... "But for that price you can get a BMW..."

Geez, relax man...I said you "could" get one, I didn't say you "MUST" get one...I'm just giving my opinion, pointing out a fact, don't need to get so uptight about it...

If a person wants the Katana then it's their choice, isn't it? I'm not gonna stop them...but from the thread the follow up was interested in what I had to say so I elaborated...if not then I would just leave it at that. Besides, thats what forums are for anyway...to help out others! ...not flame others even if it is just pointing out the obvious...

I'm not uptight.. Just thought your comment was a) OT and b) irrelevant and c) quite immature and d) obivous :p

So you mean the price of Yonex isn't obvious????
