Default SOTX woven 7 or d600?

Hi, I am currently using the yonex isometric 30. It is kina old and the head is a little bent so I am looking for a new racket. So I searched around and found the brand sotx got some good review so I decide to give it a try. And here are the racket I am having troble to decide, woven 7 and d600. As a note, I play double 95% of the time.

Both are excellent rackets. I would give the edge to the D-600. The Woven 7 is heavier and a bit more stable but I give the D-600 the edge is feel, defense and power...even! It's hard to beat the D-600, hard to find a better racket than the D-600 for a blend of offense and defense.

That's why the D-600 is my favorite racket currently.

    I play with a d600 as well (also owned a w7) and I have to agree with Dan..Overall D600>w7
though I give the edge in power to the w7...

sidenote: the w7 is shorter and flexier than the D6, It's a bit easier to use (in the case stiff is not your thing)

The whole reason why I give the D-600 the edge in power is because it's stiffer.

    Different strokes for different folks.

    amen

though, compared to a yy iso30, the d600 might be a tad too stiff, maybe, offcourse...also, if I recal correctly, iso's are 665mm...I guess a w7 would be more than enough with it's 675mm

totally different racket, really miles apart...lighter, shorter, and mid-balanced...8/10 chance it's not what he's lookign for if he has to choose between a d600 or w7

Yup, Iso's are generally 665. For comparison to Iso's, I think that the w8 is the closet, but in terms of looking towards more powerplay, I think jerby is right.

For reference, the D600 and Woven 11 are 680mms of blasting power.

Lol, yea it took me a while to get used to 680mm instead of the 670mm w8.

I'm currently using the Woven 8 and looking for a more powerful SOTX racket, I was thinking either the Woven 7,11 or the D-600. Which one out of the three has the best power, defense, and which one would u say is best for you out of the three and why.

Thumbs up Woven 7 or D600

    Hi David07,
I owe both and played with them b4. Woven 7 is a powerful and good racket. Cheap n not so pricey......If u are looking value for money, it should be W7.

I like the Woven 8 but could not handle the Woven 7, 11 and the D-600 as they are more demanding rackets imho.

being able to handle them would not be a problem, I always find that my woven 8 is only good if I play defensivly shots. Power is good, but would be better if the head was heavy and stiffer, which is what I hear the three rackets i mentioned are like.

All three are longer, heavier, head heavier and stiffer (except for the W7 which is as stiff as the W8). This also means they are slightly slower than the W8. I'd rate them this way on power:

    W7 < D-600 < W11

If you want something that is same length, weight, stiffness but head heavier than the W8, there's the D-500. The slight head heaviness gives it a little more power than the W8 without taking anything away from speed.

i had the iso 75mf and i then got ti10 and then w7, both are much heavier and have tremendous power but im some what considering the switching w7 to w8 because its a bit lighter, hope that helps.
