Hi everyone, i own a MP100 and have read through this forum about the racket. i just want to know what the max tension the MP100 can hold before the frame breaks.

If i restring my racket every 2 weeks at 25lb main and 27 cross will the racket frame break? Currently i am using 22lb main and 24 cross and i find that stringing the MP100 at that tension won't get its true power out of it.

The recommened tesion associates with the warranty in many regions. The higher the tension, the more risk of breakage claims that Yonex has to face. ;)

Strung my MP100 2U TW to 28 x 31lbs with no problems even with all my mis-hits ;) . The MP100 isn't regarded as the most durable racket around; however, I am very pleased with it's performance and durability.

I've strung the MP100 as high as 30x33lbs.

    if u:
    1. strung it very carefully
    2. do not misshit
    3. do not clash w/ other people's racket
    4. use thicker string like bg-65
    try 36lbs x 33 lbs (cross x main):D :D it should be okay..
the highest tension i ever tried is 35 lbs w/ bg-66:eek:
the feel is the same as if u strung w/ 30lbs:p :p just a very little difference:rolleyes:

I'm pretty sure you guys are talking about MP100 2U

    But what about a 3U MP100, ( xD)
It says on the sticker that it can only take up to 22lbs, the strings that I currently have are cheap( since I didn't buy it, but still at 25lbs)

I'm thinking of getting some BG80 at 24 or 25 lbs, what do you guys think ?

if the racket still in good condition, it can withold your required tension. however, if you keep clashing racket around or too many mis-hits, is better not to string it too high.

Here is my take on this, go for 40X44lb. The frame will not break after you restring if you do a good job. I am not sure after first serve.

These are just pointless question so I will give you a jackass answer.

Better yet. String it at 14.75 lbs main and cross.

The manufacturer's (Yonex) maximum recommended tension for the Muscle Power 100 is 22lbs.

I'd suggest that you get it stringed initially at 25lbs, perhaps with the BG65Ti.
Hit only deep clears on the first day.

By the second day, the tension would have dropped just over 10% - that means it will then be at around 22 to 22.5lbs. :)

That tension, coupled with the racquet's flex, will give you a great feel for the shuttle. Not to mention the great power the MP100 generates

I bought my Ferrari in Hong Kong.
I paid HKD 18 for it.
It's all of 5 inches long.
The only thing missing is the engine.
With a good push, it goes at close to 10km/hr. :p
