Hi! I'm new here and I was wondering if the low end armortec are any good, for example armortec 250. I like that it is head heavy (I'm a singles player)so that is why I'm asking you if it is any good?
I've heard as rumour on the forum that competitor brands which are less popular produce lower-priced equivalents to the AT-250 that are of the same or greater quality. But I can't for the life of me remember which models... maybe do a search?
Yes, i have and am currently using it... ...as one of my racket... For overall impression, nothing can match the feel and quality of a "high-end/priced" Yonex rackets. But for comparison purposes, i'm going to compare it to the AT-700 with the one that i have, a 3U/G4 AT250: As far as its physical shape goes(ie. overall length wise, length of handle, shaft's length and frame shape), i would say it is similar, if not the same, to the AT-700. Some of its racket's materials/composition are even similar. Yes, it's a head heavy racket(partly because of the length of the racket). However, from the feel of it, it feels slightly heavier than the AT-700. As far as stiffness goes, it's comparable to a bit less stiff than the AT-700. Price-wise, it's much cheaper as you can get it for less than US$100 or even US$90. Last, you'll notice at the bottom of its handle a "Made in Taiwan", not a "Made in Japan" label....So... Whether if it's any good, well, the best person to decide that is yourself, of course. So, as _Lam suggested, feel free to try one out first. Hope that'll be of some help.
Just got a Amortec 250...........Good racket. I like it better than my ns8k's........cheaper and like it alot.
I heard that it's a pritty good overall racket and great with intermid. to Advan. players. I have never used it myself but know people that have
hi guys.....i own an AT300 4U and it is great for me.....it's light enough to make me swing faster and still give me power for smashing...... just a curiosity though.....if i'm gonna buy another racket....maybe for my back up....and not another AT300....what racket should be close to it...maybe a bit cheaper and not limited to yonex.... the AT300 cost me RM300 without string
get the same 1 hey i advise you to get another amortech 300 because you already serasi with the racquet [dont mind my rojak] and if you change it you may not like ur amortech 300 anymore though people say that its the same i think you shoudnt just get another at 300
yeah thanks manu.......i might consider buying a second at300 if i can get it at the same price......i had to bargain to get the at300 for rm300 coz the saleperson there quote the price at rm320 without string....
You just might not want the new yellow one. I know looks don't and shouldn't matter too much, but it just looks kind of icky.
hmmmm.....at300 is made in japan right....and other lower AT (150 & 250) are made in taiwan is it not....maybe we shouldn't call AT300 a low end armotec......why not call it the lowest of the high end armortec......hehehehe....
That's funny. If you check out Yonex Basic Series B-4500G. It is actually made in Japan. So we shall call it the "High End of the Lowest End Yonex Racket?
I tried both my friend's AT150, 250 and my 300. AT150 is heavy at the body, 250 is a bit light, and starting at 300, it is ultra light. Get the 250 which is less than RM200 in M'sia. If got abit mroe cash to spend, get the AT300. Heavy head, ultra light body so u wont feel pain on your hand.
Sigh...what a waste of cash on at(150,250,300) -.- they all suck. The cheapest armortec that will atleast play decent is the at500, and it does not play decent, its far above average.
AT300 is okay...but the price difference between it and the 500 is pretty small, and so you might as well get a 500...
