Does anyone know if Sayaka Takahashi uses any sort of social network so I can contact her?

Don't try looking for Japanese people on Facebook. They are usually fake profiles made by Chinese/Indonesian fans.

Japan is a very exclusive country. While some people do use facebook, most people use Mixi. It is impossible for people to access Mixi without a Japanese mobile phone number.

that's true. Mixi is unique. Nobody can access to Mixi unless he/she is a user of Softbank, Docomo or Au.

I think it's a cool idea. In this way, they can decide between keeping it within the country, or internationalising it. I did see some Japanese sports people (not from badminton) with Facebook accounts which I think are genuine, but there aren't so many. Usually they can speak English. But thank goodness, there are many Japanese users who upload at youtube. The videos are plentiful, interesting, have a wide variety of stuff and quite often in HD

LOL, this must be the main number at Panasonic. Looks like she has more fans now. Perhaps it's time to start a Sayaka thread. By the way, has anyone heard from Gicutzu?

Guess who this is? Electrifying hairstyle

I hope that Park Joo Bong will stay as the head coach of the Japanese national team.
Three japanese WD pairs in the top 10 rankings, Hirata/Hashimoto at #9, two WS players in top 20, two MS players in top 20.. where did they suddenly come from? .. esp Hirata/Hashimoto and Sho Sasaki - they were only like back-up players in the national team before. Sho Sasaki always stayed as Japan's #2 MS player, always behind Shoji Sato. It's amazing that at the age of 29, he's suddenly improving alot. PJB must be doing a great job.

I think the 3 Japanese WD pairs need to be in the top 8 for 2 of them to qualify to be among the 16 pairs for the Olympics. Which is currently the case now.
