I have been playing for 2 years now and Im in class c. I have been using Bg66 since i started playing 2 years ago. now Im pretty concerned with the price, I string it at 25lbs in my AT700, and it feels excellent right after stringing but after having smashing practice, and play(I play 3 times a week), i feel that its loose already. Im 16 and Im the one purchasing strings for me.

Is there a string that would last longer, but still retaining the tension i need?...thanks for the help.

I was thinking of the BG65 is it a good guess?would it hold the tension for at least 2 months, without breaking?

    thnx

Try BG80 or Ashaway Micro Power. Holding tension for 2 months and not breaking is hard to find.

BG65 is a very durable string and it holds tension quite well but as Dink said its hard for any string to hold its tension for 2 months. I am using BG65 atm at 24lbs for about a month now and the string is starting to move a little when i hit hard.

BG65 is my string of choice for durability. For all but the very rare string wrecker, it would last 2 months or more. For good players who can hit the sweet spot very consistently, the string would last a lot longer than 2 months.

Contrary to many people here, I believe thin strings lose tension quicker than thick strings, particularly in the hands of power hitters. So by switching to BG65, you will find the string takes much longer to start feeling mushy. It is possible to make the string bed to stay stiff until the string breaks. But only a very innovative stringer can do that for you. Short of finding such a stringer, you can always try using Ti and Kevlar strings for increased stiffness.

i use bg65 on my ns9000x at 23lbs and i find it only lasts me about 3-4weeks(i play at county level and play 5 or 6 times a week). They still manage to keep there tension for most of the time though.

I would recomend the Nanogy 95 it is a great allround string. But if you are buying the string it could get a bit expensive...
