It was absolutely great. won 3 out of 4 but shoudl have won the last 1 if my BAD-minton partner was good enough. Ive never wanted to win so much in my life. 1st game was really hard and i was literally shaking cause the players look so intimidating. After i just scrapped a win, i finally got my confidence and was proving to be a huge threat. My tip is: never be nervous or intimidated - ur most liekly to losse so its actually better to be the 1 whos doing the intimidating unless u have moral issues. So how was ur 1st ever competetive match?
congrats mate! but trust me, the feelign never fades..I've been in a lot of tourny's/ finals (regional youth tourny's, D-finals, C-finals..and recently my first B-final!) you'll always be nervous..If you're not you don't know what you're doing nerves mean, for me, you wánt to play/win...don't be ashamed to be nervous.. though keep the confidence, that's certainly true... good luck in any further matches!
yes, more tournaments u play, the more competitive experience u gain. This experience can not be obtain from training nor playing with your friends.
When I'm in a tournament, I suck when I'm nervous and tense. I'm MUCH better when I feel relaxed and focus.
