I have travel to HCM city and stay for three days.

I rent a motobike and ride to district 3, to find the lengdery Quang sportware.

It take me half an hour to ride there, however they don't have the latest new

    model of proace.

They only got the ABS 1000 and the price is 17800000 vietnam dollar

    which is about US$113.

I am not even trying to have a bargain there because I can have a Yonex

    racket for this price.

Someone say the latest proace racket in HCM is less then US$50

is a mislead:confused: . Other sport gear like Yonex AC-102 there is also the same

    price as China market.

I only buy a fake T-shirt there, because it take me more than half hour to

ride there in the noon. The sun there is really mean!

    Can't return without empty hand:cool:

PS( I didn't ask the YY price there, because I am not good enough to tell it is a really one. )

Hi, are there any other badminton shops in Ho Chi Minh City? I am looking for brands other than yonex and proace.

U can find other brandname: like Fleet and Victor in HCM city. But dun go for rackets in VN, it s more expensive than those in Sing. Go for shuttles. Just 5.5SGD/tube of 12 shuttles. Recommend the HOANG YEN (blue tube with logo of swallow).

    HoangYen even worse...around 5 clears and 2 smashes...the birdy is dead ...

Kayaza, do you know DaiHung ...I haven't been there, but my friends had been there. They said DaiHung is one of the best in HCM...

Actually this is not the HoangYen that are normally seen in VN. The other one is a Red/Yellow tube and I agree that those are really crappy. This one I have never seen but for the price, I think it should be decent. The other HoangYen is like 2.5 usd/tube.

Not sure about DaiHung, never seen it there. Will try to get some of my friends over there to try them out

I see a prince racket shop, but don't have the lastest racket in District 5
I don't think people can find a bargain in HCM unless you are local.

in the picture, the shop even has Forza brand. Wow
oh man,i bought lots of badminton stuff and got stringing there. It is quite popular in local badminton and now international . Glad to see many foreign visitors visiting the shop :)
The last time, i remember they have some good Kason badminton shoes for less than $50, which i think is cheap
Made-in VN shuttles are actually very cheap, but quality is no way on par with China's shuttles, cause we dont use the proper cork base material. All the corks have to be imported,so using it would increase the price>>> the majority cant afford it. So they use something else instead, which is broken quite easily, but only when you are a hardcore player. Apart from that, the shuttle feathers are quite good.
So i think it is a fair price

another thing is that you would get AS40/AS50 for around $10. Spending $10 for a tube of shuttle is a burning money craziness in VN. Mine parents would kick me out of house if i spent $10 just to buy a tube of shuttle. Try Yonex distributor in HCMC. Dont remember the street, dial 116 for general inquiries. The girls voices there are so sweet and they know every thing happening within the city to answer your questions
In Quang shop, however, you could get Victor shuttle for $5-6/tube brandnew in box.
