Thread: Real or Fake Challenge!!!
03-05-2007, 05:03 PM #103
I'd have to go with the NS6k, due to the off-center T-logo in post #56, and that the corners of the triangles on the endcap logo seem a little more rounded than the others. Might be just my eyes playing a trick on me though.

just adding to my theorycraft with one of the NS being possibly counterfeit...
I noticed the "O" on the cones, dont look exactly the same... but that could just be the angle of the photos playing tricks on my eyes...
I wonder how many more people will get confused from my comment

I guess I am just a tad bored with every spot the fake.. "is this real" etc threads...
Just hit 2 shots with the racket and it should be obvious if it is real or fake... Who cares about cosmetics on the racket anyway??
If you have to post pictures of your racket on a forum to understand if its fake or real (not this thread, but it is happening...), and can't figure this out by simply hitting a shuttle with it, its probably not a big deal for your level of gameplay anyway..
send all three to me and I'll tell you in 10 minutes which is the fake.. drawing conclusions on pictures are pretty meaningless.. Sometimes I guess we could even see errors i logo-placement, paintjobs, colormixes etc from different batches of production, even for genuine rackets...
(Yes, I am grumpy today)

The only way I'm sending you the rackets is if you were blind and can't see the pictures....
Also, I have strung many fake rackets and believe it or not, they (the fakes) are getting better. Some have survived serious racket clashes to come back to me for another string job.
Anyways, hope your grumpy day gets better. Play some badminton, the best cure for any grumpy day.....

So far, only a few people have guessed correctly...

curious, what is the little round circle on the cone? that does not look like the PBSI logo...

It is the standard Yonex sticker, it is holographic and transparent. Real and fake rackets both have those stickers.

Next time, I'm going to use the "blurry camera, obscure picture" technique too.
