I have stopped playing badminton few years ago, since my MP 99 cracked. But then my friends dragged me back into it, I tried the MP 88 and AT500, I really liked the AT500 over the MP88. What I feel is AT500 IMO is lighter and easier to swing. And the MP 88 feels heavy.

I read alot of post here in BC, but my ultimate question is, should I just get the AT500, or is there other racquet that is ligher(easier to swing)

From what I read from post AT500 should be head heavy. I rarely smashes unless I know they cant return it. So any other recommendation? If not I will just get myself AT500(not too expensive also)

since both models come in 4U and 3U, you should check it out. I have a feeling the at500 is a 4U while the mp88 is a 3U.

a bit more info, I am more of a wrist player, and control, since I dont smash much..

and I am not limit to Yonex. I will try other brands also.

Cause I have limited resources, I cannot test every single racquet, so I decided to try the ones that is recommended by BCer

    Thank you~~ ^^

well, i have a 3U at500 and i find that its fine for control shots, but if youre a wrist player, it will be a little harder to generate power. I have never used the mp88, but am considering getting one. Would anyone be able to compare the at500 to the mp88 (power, control, balance etc...) ? thanks

If you really like the feeling of AT500, just get it. There are lighter rackets, but weight is not the only factor in racket selection. If you have the chance, just get a lighter AT500, as the 4U covers the range of 80-84g.

the musclepower 88 is 82 gms in weight and the armortec is 85-89gms in weight so the mp is lighter
