Ants, I have read the Technology part of the racket a few times and I still cannot understand how electromagnetism can increase the repulsion power of the racket. Could you or someone kindly explain in more layman terms? Thanks in advance.

I just brought this racket today and checked in website about its details, its very hard to find more detail about this racket and i never tried it yet. Well i brought it at RM220 near Mecalister road at Penang georgetown. It's look kool and shining and looking forward to test this racket when im free. I saw this racket at other shop is about RM269-RM279 and this shop i brought it cheap because im dealing with the boss himself so can negotiate the price down a little. Hope that this racket dint disappointed me, my old racket which is ProAce thunderbolt II broken after crash with other ppl racket while playing.

i think linus, this is how i understand it when i read the techie part of the racket, that the left and right side both have magnets of different polarity. meaning, they repel each other and helped keep the string tight. so when the string comes in contact with a birdie, the two repelling magnet will immediately pull the string tighter when they repel each other. and this in turn push the birdie off the string bed with extra repulsion because in addition to the swing and the normal repulsion, there's also the added repulsion of the two magnet repelling each other. i wonder if i am making any sense here
sorry if it is all mumbo jumbo. i hope though you can understand a bit of it. hehehehe

Thanks Leen for answering my question.

I still have doubts though: because the tension of the cross are asserting a inner-pull force on the frame, so unless the magnets are creating a outer-pull force greater than the force of the cross-tension, the nett effect would be minimum. Wouldn't it? Sorry my physic is poor.

Do I see the Triforce from The legend of Zelda?

And wouldn't the magnets be of the same charge, as like charges repel each other? Good looking racquets though.

yeah. most probably it will be minimum. but i guess they have to come up with something to market their rackets. and really, we have no way of proving the benefits of the magnet technology. so it is back to basic...is it good looking? can i play well with it? is it within my budget? etc etc

Hey guys, i tried the racket already... well
First of all, its better than my ProAce thunderbold II.
Second is racket is much more powerful than my previous one.
The speed when doing a smash surprise me which i never felt before(maybe my old ProAce thunderbolt II too weak).
Pretty good control, it feel stiff and it move instantly when hitting the shuttle.
My friend tried my racket and in the middle of the game he shout "wtf, this is so much power that he cant do with his own racket." Well i jsut tried it 1 time maybe need more time to test the racket out... still can get use to the racket yet, my timing is off cos the feel is different.Last edited by aaronooi; 07-17-2007 at 01:45 PM.

RM299 for two?? wahh... do u mind to share which shop that is selling that price?? My experience with Fischer racquets is very positive. Can anyone be able to confirm if the Magnetic Pro1 and the Magnetic Tour (either) one is a head-heavy racquet???
