how much difference will 23Ibs and 24Ibs make? then how about 22Ibs and 23Ib? I am using 21Ib currently, and plan to upgrade to 23Ibs or 24Ibs, consider the tension loose after restring, do you guys think I should go for 23.5ibs or 24Ibs with taking loose into account? many thanks!
There's no universal answer for yor question, as it depend on the player him/herself. 2 lbs increament (assume with same string and same stringer) is very reasonable as an experiement. Try it, and you can answer your own question.
i reckon you should try a borrow some racquets from people in your club at different tensions, hit some shots with them, then decide which tension you like best (i'm assuming here that not everyone uses the same tension). once you've decided, then you can either: 1) estimate what that tension is. 2) bring your mate's racquet to your normal stringer and say you want it at that tension, he should know what it is if he's a decent stringer.
5 months ago i used 22*24 then 3 months ago i tried 24 24 1 pice string. the first day i used 24 24 i pulled my shoulder muscle :crying:
no idea but even though i don't want to do this, next time i get my racquet strung i'll get it at 23 25 and see what happens
just played two hours using my friends racket Forza Karvlar 11 with 23-24Ibs tension, she said her racket was 24 Ibs initially, but now probably is 23Ibs only. It's a defensive racket, and it felt light when I smash it. anyway, it felt very good, powerful, and I didn't find any uncomfortable, there is no problem for me to handle 23Ib-24Ibs (I think). back to my 21Ibs AT150, it feels pretty heavy, and dull. I plan to alter my racket's string tension to 25Ibs, and it may loose to 24Ibs after a while, what do you guys think? Any advice?
