Greetings,

After what smashed_1 and LilyC have mentioned in posts #15 and #16 of this thread: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=531471#post531471 ...... an idea came to mind.

CCC Badminton Club Library !!! :):):)

Wouldn't it be nice if members@ccc can borrow magazines from our club ?
Let's say, each member is allowed to borrow one magazine for a duration of one or two weeks.

To yschin:
If you have time, could you please buy us one of each edition of magazines available in Malaysia ?

To members@ccc:
To support and maintain this project, we need the following;
(1) A Library Fund: A sum of money set aside for purchasing/acquiring this library of Badminton materials.
(2) A Volunteer Fund Raiser: To setup and to manage this fund.
(3) A Volunteer Librarian: To manage and to provide this library service.

When I find time, I will go through my boxes of books, to find the many books of Badminton that I have purchased over the years. I know I have quite a few.

And I will donate them to our Club Library.

Cheers... chris@ccc

Alright, my contribution - the Jan-Feb 07 issue of the Badminton Asia (don't think I can get older issues).

A book "Basic skills of Badminton" by Han Jian - written when he was in M'sia - that is if I can find it and some CDs of recorded Badminton games if I can burn it - will follow.

This is a brilliant idea!

Funding: collect $3-$5 each to kick off?

Material sourcing: need some expert to recommend good material

Librarian: i dont think we envision a mobile library, correct? just someone to keep the materials at home/record tracking/facilitating...

Sorry Lily, your poster has been in my bag but I folded it into a cone shaped container , filled it up with tidbits to munch while watching LCW and Hafiz train today at Puchong here.

Still waiting for the new Mar-April issue. Huang Chia Chi latest world ranking is an impressive no 17 but LCW bad time lately and slipped to No 5.

LCW opts to train under Misbun rather than the national team that is why he trains with Hafiz and some national juniors there. There are many courts for hire to the public and I was there at that time. You can go in and out anytime, get their autographs , pics - friendly ppl . Definitely easier to find them than you.

He was teasing the nat juniors to get a point from him and some did manage a few points from him...
