is my backhand grip similar to urs? (pics)

    im still in the hunt for that working backhand clear, although some attempts with this grip were successful im still looking for some improvements or maybe u can tell me if im doing something that might be preventing me from getting the shot. thanks in advance

    Personally, I actually use a normal forehand grip when clearing backhand. However, there seems to be a HUGE diversity in grips used for the backhand, so I don't think one is any better than another. What's crucial is the alignment in wrist and arm movement, and as long as your grip allows you the flexibility to do this, it should be fine.

    I personally place the thumb to about the same place as you, but the other fingers right to the other side, not on the large side of the handle, like you. This enables me to use finger power much more efficiently.

    for some reason when i use that grip for backhand clears or even backhand drops, the racket always want to slip off my hand :D

    that grip is fine if your taking the shot from way behind you, if its closer to you then you should have your thumb closer to the rest of the hand.
