    For me it would be:

    Clear: Above my chest
    Smash: Slightly infront of me
    Drop: Slightly infront of me

Is this where you're suppose to hit the shuttle? Thanks guys.

i thought clear, smash and drop occurs at nearly same place
aka infront of you above your head. Isn't hittling like that infront of your chest drive?

Maybe I wasn't clear. But I meant in the height of where you're suppose to hit, not distance horizontally. I was told that the Drops and Smashes were above you and slightly infront. Clears, above you and above your chest, almost at your head level.

    Am I right or wrong?

For smash, place yourself behind the shuttle for better control and power.

for all the clear smash and drop shots you play your aim is to take the at the highest hight possible and be behind them, if you are under pressure and maybe dont have time to sisser kick you may have to do a diag jump making you take the shuttle behind you, so really it depends on the shot played at you to depend on where you take the shot

yea timing is criticle, if you have time to do a sisser kick then use it wisely, a diag limits you to only a few shots, a slice drop a clear if your lucky and posabilly a slice smash but then you have to worry about your recovery.

timing is very important when executing a perfect smash. be prepared early and hit the shuttle to where u want it to go. but in doubles, we usually do not have the time to get ready for a perfect shot. we just intercept the shot when we can (if we are playing at a fast pace)

Your wording is not quite right. I would not say that the clear is executed at head level. Instead, I would say that it is contacted above the head.

If at all possible, make the contact point for a smash or drop a bit more forward than for a clear. Drops can also be executed directly above the head but, if possible, try to contact them slightly in front. Court position, arm position (with respect to the shuttle) and racket angle can all make slight variations to the contact point. Jumping can make your contact point further forward for a steeper smash.

you want to make all your strokes look similar on wind up for deception as well. Its erally a lot to think about when you are working on technique.

Correct. Even tho' the ideal contact point will vary for each type of shot, you want to position yourself, if possible, and start each all of these the same way. Just as good poker players do, identify & eliminate your 'tells'.
