The last final of the 2007 Wilson Badminton Swiss Open, fourth in the
SUper Series, was a clash between Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard, DEN and
Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong, MAS. It was the second time in a week the
two sides met. Last was at the All England a week ago, with the
Malaysians winning on that occassion. The Danes were deternined to was
off that stain and played considerably better today, keeping the errors
    to a minimum.
As always when Denmark and Malaysia meet, they play in a breathtaking
speed. The first game was won by Eriksen/Lundgaard 21-17.
The second game took a long time before any indication was made on who
might come out on top. But as Tan/Koo up'ed the speed a nudge that was
the factor giving them the second game 21-16.
The Malaysians also started best in the third game, keeping a constant
lead. The nearly flawless Danish play from the first game had
dissapeared, and combined with aggressively playing Malaysians, Tan/Koo
won for the second time in a week!
They took the decisive game 21-12!

Lets hope this Malaysia doubles can consistantly win a few more 4 star tounarments, unlike some previous fluke AE winners which go down hill after that. Especially TBH, he was a world junior doubles champ few years back and had since moved forward to be a senior player. Keep up the good work.:D

I wonder what he will paint on his head?

A Malaysian flag or his girlfriend?

Maybe he can have a racket hitting a shuttlecork.

    i'm so happy for kkk/tbh:)
they're truely in "tip-top form" right now, having proven themselves to be world class by beating a lot of the worlds best pairings.
    as i expected...the game went to 3 sets...wouldve been exciting to watch:rolleyes:

what world ranking would they have now? inside the top 10 right?

There is no Malaysian pairs that can match these guys standard. They should be in the top 10 after this win.

They almost gave me a heart attack last night !

KKK looked not up to mark during the semis and yesterday it was TBH's turn !

But I'm happy that despite all that they were able to pull through and won the title.

Kuddos to them. Hope they'll be able to keep up the good results...

The first game they look sluggish, some unforced errors and poor smash returns. TBH performs better during the 2nd set, with good return flicks and accurate placings. Thanks to KKK killer smash.

I can see them dominating this year tournaments.:)

Who cares about their ranking? From their performance these past two weeks, KKK/TBH are the BEST in the world right now. Nobody could beat them even when they weren't playing well...:)

Unless they suddenly suffer a loss in form, put too much pressure on themselves or their opponents figure out a way to beat them, the M'sians loiok really solid for the world championships this year.

It's too early to say they are the best at the moment. Pls remember that they haven't met the top Korean pair Lee Yong Dae in the AE2007 and SO2007. In fact KKK/TBH have lost twice to this Korean pair previously. I really hope to see they will meet each other in the upcoming matches!!!

Well, although they have not met the Korean pair, it still seems apparant that they are dominating the Super Series right now and I guess from one's point of view, they are currently the best in the world.

With the current form, it's quite fair to say that they are at the top. The other current top pairs surely can't wait to pay their revenge on them. Loosing more than one game in a row has a significant psycological impact. This is an advantage to the TBH/KKK which they can manipulate to maintain their upbeat in coming tournaments.

i think it's not the matter of the koreans not good enough to get to the finals or anything. maybe KKK and TBH have been losing to them because the koreans' strategy and style of play can counter KKK and TBH's style of play. meaning if they play each other, KKK and TBH still could lose. even the best player have an archilles heel. so maybe the korean pair is KKK and TBH's. my two cents. nonetheless to regularly beat the top pairs bode well for the type of strategy the malaysian pair is using.

KKK/TBH the best md pair of the world now

I think KKK/TBH is the best md pair at the moment.
The biggest reason that Malaysian pairs lose to a Korean team is Tan Kim Her responsible for MD in the Korean National Squad.

Unfortunate for the Malaysian Team, Tan Kim Her is doing very well in Seoul. I met him during the German Open. The Korean Chief is very satisfied with his work and more important: the players have got a firm trust in him.

By the way, during the German Open finals there another real finals match took place off the centre court. In the training facility there was a match between Tan Kim Her/Yoo Yoeon Sung and Han Sanghoon/Park Sunghwan (singles player). They bet some money. And guess who won!

Tan Kim Her paired with the young Yoo Zeon Sung won against the pair Han/Park.
Tan Kim Her still very good at playing and extremely determined to win a bet!

KKK/TBH need to sharpen their smash and defence. their defense could not stop Fu Hai Feng power smash.
