I'm going to Beijing next month and wondering if someone could tell me where is a good place to play around Chaoyang District? Also, where can I go to buy genuine Yonex equipment? Thank you
Can you read/speak Chinese? there are lots of badminton clubs in Chaoyang district, and you can get genuine Yonex and other types of rackets everywhere. if you have other problem, please contact me keendom2004@hotmail.com
Hi Keendom, I don't know Chinese but I have a friend who does. Please recommend a couple of places if you don't mind. Thanks
you know Chaoyang district is very big, it's better if you can tell me the specific location when you visit Beijing. 1st place, locates in the 2nd foreign language university, at east Chaoyang district. you can refer to http://www.citychinese.com/bbs3/dispbbs.asp?boardID=506&ID=278906&page=1 for more information 2nd place, 三元桥阳光球馆, at north Chaoyang district, please refer to http://bbs.sports.sina.com.cn/?h=/g_forum/00/14/02/view.php%3Ffid%3D191933%26tbid%3D4258&g=4&n=1 for contact info. for equipment shop, please refer to http://www.bbesports.com/bdbc/index_aboutbbe_bj.htm
Anyone want to play at the Kerry Center Hotel? I'll be here until May 8. There are 4 courts for rent 100 RMB/hour. Open 6AM to 11 PM. Address: 1 Guang Hua Road, Chao Yang District
Hi nkiattin, how about your badminton level? maybe you can find a club and to play with many guies. and it's much cheaper than hotel.
It's convenient. I don't mind renting the court. My level is around B in the U.S. I don't know if that helps. I play better single than double.
hey I was wondering if there are any air-conditioned courts that I can rent here in beijing? I live at the end of line 1 subway at siwai but basically can go anywhere in the city... thanks! As to the courts at Kerry centre, can non-guests rent them? Since it's at the Kerry centre, maybe it's air-conditioned?
You don't have to stay at the hotel to rent the court. I'm not sure if it's air conditioned or not but when I was there it felt fine. You can call the hotel and ask them. http://www.shangri-la.com/beijing/kerrycentre/en/ I'll be in Beijing again middle of June let me know if you'd like to play.
what's the court like? Is it the green badminton surface or is it the wooden gym floor type? I'm leaving the middle of june >< but probably will be back later in the year... Maybe I'll book it once to try...
I think it's cement floor with some green stuff coating on the top, kind of like tennis court surface. It's not rubber mat. I have picture of the court, email me if you are interested. n_kiatttinant@hotmail.com To play there you have to call the fitness center to reserve a court but be sure to arrange to have someone there to play with you otherwise you will waste 100RMB.
hmmm.... email seem to bounce back... anyways, if you can email me a pic of the courts it would be good.... yash68@hotmail.com Any other places you played in beijing? I assume they have changing room there?
I once played with nkiattin in Kerry Center, the court is very good. And it's convenient to get there by No. 1 subway. BTW, I don't know siwai station. Do you live at east end of No. 1 subway or west end?
I work for a company in BJ,and got there every month. next time will be around the end of June. sports center of Renmin University is my place of call.
