Knot Slipped After Restringing
Hey guys, I got my racket restrung, and when I was taking off some old birdie markings on the frame, I accidently pushed out one of the knots. I decided to cut it after I realized I couldn't put it back in. Will this knot eventually unwind, or am I ok until I pop the strings? Thanks.

you cut the knot?
most tie-off knots, a 2 half-hitch knots...
sorry to say, but it'll probably slip...

Just play till the knot slip out. It just might out last your string...

Heftiforex,
That's so cool
! I do single half hitch and then a pro knot.

Heftiforex,
I am feeling those knots too. Very nice I can't even do up my shoelaces that well
.
That's why my mummy still buys me velcro ones
.

Thanks, I tried to push the main around a little, and it seemed snug. I haven't had a chance to hit with it though.

I expect the knot will not slip much more.
I use a half hitch followed by a figure of eight knot to tie off.

I had the top knot slip on me, liek completely unwound, and I didn't even notice until like....4 games after. I was surprised that there was barely any effect on the racket at all. Go friction!
Anyways, you got some real cool knots going on there Heftiforex =)

That's the same or very similar to what I do. One single half-hitch knot follow by a pro knot.

The half hitch helps to lock off the string whilst keeping the tension on, the pro knot/figure of eight to finish the tie off helps to ensure that it doesn't pull through the grommet.

I don't think tension loss will be significant due to the friction. Just play with it, until either the string snaps or the knot getting unwind.

It might slip.. just try your luck. You might be lucky that it wont slip at all.
