Seems a bit risky. I can't imagine the string's lasting longer than a few hours either.

bg66 at 30lbs for over a year??
    how often do you play?

i wouldn't expect that to last for more than a month if you played say 5-6 hours a week.

I've seen as high as 32.0/35.0lbs.

Don't know about longevity. The original question was, what's the max tension and I replied.

I am quite certain that if I were to play at that tension, the racket and string would not last. Which would go first, I'm not certain. :p

Whoever said I strung it? Are you like Jerby now? Need to read more carefully? :p I said, the highest I've seen, didn't say I strung. :D

    Besides, I don't go 10% difference, I go more like 7% to 9.9% difference. ;)

I just wish I had a stringer around here who I could trust to string anything at 30lbs. We need you Sir DinkAlot move to London :p .

Oh by the way I dunno what the Panda jibes are about can anyone fill me in? :D

Can we rephrase the question? How high a tension can we string an AT700 3U without it damaging the frame and ultimately causing its early demise?

30lbs, but it did not break at the head, or anywhere near... always just above the cones :(

And agreed with Master Fish... "this question is very subjective"

I wonder if it can go to 40lbs (ie. Kwun's experience seeing/hearing about the 40lbs ti10 from luxis lol)... actually i'll try to get the racquet head back and try something out when I can find someone with a machine :D:D:D

Great thing about broken racquets, is that you dont have to worry about breaking them any further. :p

edit: added 40lbs reference... too lazy to search for link to topic.

That sounds like an experiment! Are you coming to Vancouver anytime soon, Master Kelvin? I am sure I (we) can do something about a 40 lbs string job :D. It's a good idea to beat a dead corpse twice :D :p :D . . . joking (An inside joke between me and Master Jug8man).
