Hey, this is very strange. Whenever I have an arm wrestling match, I lose at the beginning and fight the way back up.
The only thing I'm confused is how do I beat these people???
They weight lift and do curls at 50lbs for one hand and I only do like 35lbs max.
Could playing badminton increase my forearm strength?

    100lbs for one arm?
If that is right, I gotta challenge you some time.

Oh yea, so far this year. I haven't lost more than 2 times out of 100 matches...lol...

    I always tie or win.:p

The strength is in the chest and shoulders, not the arm. You really don't want to know how much I bench.

not if you cauck you wrist, which i tend to do. my forearms would be stiff and I would use my shoulders and pects to win.

And how old are you? 22?

If I ever past by Ottawa. I'll be sure to contact you to see how big your arms or chest is. ;)

BTW, I believe arm wrestling is all about the shoulders and pecs.
Once you lock everything up, it's all shoulders and body strength.:p

I really suggest some of you that plan on playing at the univeristy varsity level to start power training in your last year of high school. Guys playing at this level are crazy strong and that's already built on top of good technique so you can imagine the combination that brings.

btw I am pure strength, I am not bulky and I still have a neck, unlike some of my buddies in the gym that do 300+.

    How tall are you Don?
And how much do you weigh?
Would you say your body shape is like Peter Gade?

I think he will be Shaq! Not peter pls. Peter is the perfect example of how a Singles player shoudl be. Nimble great body balance and great intensity.U could also stay lack of meat on him compared to others like Hong.

    But then...

Peter is teh worst example for a doubles player. doubles player should have amazing thighs and hams apart from teh usual stuff in hands.

kim dong moon seem to have a body build between as MS and MD player. muscular but not stocky, tall but not like a stick, agility with power, ahh, i don't mind having that physique. Seem like he has a team of travelling hairstylists that goes with him on tournaments. Never saw him with a bad hair do.
