ok i have bg 66 string... ok so this is what my problem is

so the string goes through the holes in the racquet rite? but it dosent go through just the racquet it self, the racquet has a black protective covering little things that the string goes through which is in the hole in the racquet... omg so confusing. my question is when that black thing breaks throughly, would by string get cut? ok maybe looking at this picture is easier....

so basically the black thing is cracked , if it breaks off would it cut my string?

That black things? You mean the grommets? You can get those replaced, and no, I doubt they'd cut your string. You would probably want them to be replaced though, so you'd kind of need to cut your strings. Irony, huh. Depending on brand and such, they shouldn't easily break. Yonex grommets are especially durable.

A broken gromments will shorten the string life. A badly damaged (or missing) gromments with high tension might put ur racket frame in danger as well. Get it replaced asap.

go in a badminton shop and act like you are watching some racket
    AND SUBTILELY STEAL GROMMETS
    muwahahahahha .. don't do that.
I know you will, BUT DON'T! yes you can ask a stringer to replace it
might cost 4 cents or so.

    Take them off broken rackets.....duhhhh.

Next time you see a racket collision......ask if you can keep the broken racket, if not, wait for them to throw it in the trash, then pick it up. Re-use the grommets.:D

no macauboy, the little black thing is there to help hold the strings. if you are stringing the racket for the first time the little black things should be fine. but if the little black thing is broken then it is advisable to change it as you can already deducted from previous postings.
