I was told that Lee's is closing for the summer for renovations. Will i get my membership refund? Anyone knows what their plans? I'm thinking of joining the new club,Flying Dragon instead. Thx for your attention!
I heard they are expanding the gym, which I think will benefit its members. members will have more space and more courts to play. But I am also looking forward to see the Flying Dragon open.
I am told that they will close down the old complex and merge it with the new one with the unit that next to it. But not sure how long it will take for renovation.
i'm pretty sure you're wrong since lee's has a summer camp and summer membership promotion i asked winnie (coach & stiringer) if the place was closing for summer and she told me that she didn't hear anythign about it
They just hired another young coach, Allen Tai, ex Malaysia junior champion. He is as good as Charles and very friendly.
hmm, FD is trying to get back into being a strong club and maybe compare with Lee's and Mandarin in the near future. That's good, that's good.
"get back into being a strong club?" FD was strong? How come we don't see it? The only asset that FD used to have was Huang Nan Yen. I'm not trying to disc FD here, in fact, what I believe is every club takes many years to establish. There is nothing wrong with it! It's nice to see the competitions between these private clubs can boost up the standard of play in badminton in Ontario! As far as the new coach, Allan Tai, is he a Singles player, Doubles or Mixed? Ontario urguely need a Singles coach! My kids are definitely going to FD if he's one!
I agree, it takes a long time to become a strong club. Having some good coaches definitely help. Because of the change of management, FD sure has the potential. One sign is the new management is willing to listen and changed all the lighting to reduce the glare...and FD is getting busy and busy, for some time slot, it is tough to book a court. Allan is a single player and is a lefty. Check out this link. http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Monday/Features/2079813/Article/index_html
Thanks Birdieeagle, much appreciated! I'm sure a lot of dedicated players and parents out there are very happy to find out we, in Ontario, finally has a real Men's Singles coach! Let's hope he has an enjoyable experience at FD! Btw, How much does he charge for a one-to-one private lesson per hour? Thanks!
Thank you very much pickel! My son is now taking private lesson with him as well as in the group lesson. He's an excellent coach and he's very patience and fun to all his students. Highly recommended for intermediate and advance level players!
Re: Badminton lesson Hi Dex, How do you feel Charles and Allan, they both in the world ranking. I try to choose one for my daughter. Pickel
