Misbun said LCW's strokes has changed under Li Mao where he hits the shuttle slower. LCW needs some time to change back to his old style again. Anyway, let's see how he perform after one week under Misbun's guidance.

his performance in ABC will be an indicator of Misbun's effectiveness. it will be better if China top players are here so that we can judge where LCW stands among the China best players. winning the ABC does not mean LCW is better than Lin Dan. important is LCW gains confidence from winning in ABC.

LCW under MIsbun has more power and speed but he lacked accuracy. I think that kind of game will trouble the chinese. But when he was under LM, the game was slow down and he did not attack very much although his shot is more accurate. That's give his opponent a lot of chance to attack. One thing i figure it out when LCW played at MO 2007 with BCL. BCL was more aggresive compare to LCW.

I think LCW should play speed and power, but he has to make the shot more accurate. Hopefully Misbun will help???????

misbun personally produces stroke players. if anyone of you followed malaysian badminton scene closely, you will agree. among misbun's students are roslin, hafiz, choon hann, beng hong and chong wei. none were aggressive players at that time. we will see how chong wei plays at the ABC and decide on his new playing style such as defensive, offensive, stroke or all rounder

LCW needs a psychologist not a new coach!

I personally have my doubts about Misbun as a coach, I hope he proves me wrong. Misbun himself has suggested that he coach younger players.

I don't know if stroke players won't last in 21 points, Taufik is kinda a stroke player. But I don't know if LCW will be able to change his attacking game into a more patient game.

    Should be fun to watch...

Misbun still good coach. He made Rashid Sidek and Roslin become world number one. Last time, he also build up performance other players like Lee Chong Wei dan Wong Mew Choo. Mew Choo won Sea Games gold medalist.

Foreign players also trained under Misbun before they become top players like Ng Wei (Hkg), Shoji Sato, Sho Sasaki, Yuichi Ikeda (Jpn), Nguyen Tien Minh, Nguyen Quang Minh (Vie), Andrew Dabeka (Can), Abhinn Shyam Gupta, Anand Pawar, Siddarth Jain, Ajay Jayaram, Saina Nehwal, Ruth Misha (Ind), Huwaina Razi (Swiss), Nicholas Kidd, Andrew Smith (Eng), Azam Ali (USA) etc.

got ur idea.Sometimes,u got to realize Misbun is no God.He didnt acted like one.
He did his best,I suppose. No one would stay with hafiz for 5 years and bear the condemnations with him.Tell me,he did it or not?
Chong Wei succeeded with the help of a good coach however, the ultimate reason of his num 1 title is the man inside Lee Chong Wei.A good player + a good coach.Good combination?i'd say yes.

Interesting to read the comments 1.5 years down the road, OneToughB, your thoughts really came true, Wong TM now training BJSS players .

And LCW + Misbun has proven to be a successful partnership in the form of an OG silver medal (& 2 Datuks)
