Hi All, I would like to purchase a racket that is headlight and medium flex. Kindly assist me by giving racket recommendations. Just got back to playing badminton after 11 years. Thank you and Best Regards, John
WTF, I will suggest Yonex NS6000 if money is not too big of issue. Sorry, I just have to smile at your user id.
Yep, and the Nano Speed 7700 also fits, just pricier, but with better technology. I would also say it wins in the looks category as well.
Thanks Guys, for the recommendations. Sadly I can't afford any of the NS series, due to the MP100 tragedy :crying: - http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42034 I'm currently looking at the following models which I can afford: Iso Ti SA MP66 MP28 Just wondering whether these 3 models are like in terms of durability and defence. I'm a fairly weak player with weak wrist and arm, hope a flexible racket can help me out Thanks and Best Regards, Frog
i had MP 66 (now out of production) but it had supposed manufacturing defect so i got it warrantied and got nanospeed 5k
Why not try a Victor Racquet? I was pretty much in the same boat as you at the start of the year. I took a long layoff from Badminton (7+ years) after playing at a pretty high level of competence. Getting back into the sport has been tough, but well worth it. I have two vastly different racquets: A SOTX Woven-11 (Very-Stiff & head heavy) and a Victor Super Nano 5 (Mid-stiff, balanced). I whole-heartedly endorse the Super Nano 5. It's probably one of the easiest, most forgiving racquets I have ever had the opportunity to use. Clears and smashes well, although your mileage will vary. If you want to smash, and I mean SMASH hard, the Woven-11 is awesome. However, it is very demanding. Best of luck.
Hi there, What's this manufacturing defect you mentioned? I recently bought a Muscle Power 66 which seems to have some sort of paint job defect around the frame head. Didn't notice it until I took it home and played with it once, and the store I got it from wouldn't refund it because it's a small shop with no-return policy. So much for consumer protection! I should have known better than to buy from a small, dodgy shop.
try the yonex mp25 it is the lightest racket and flexible racket in the muscle power series.. very gud for defense and has strong whip..
If you just got back into badminton I would recommend the Carlton Airblade Superlite, it should really suit you!
