What would be the best idea to prevent this? I had our clubs singles tournament today, which i got third, but I did terrible in one game and it was just round robin so I should of got second or first. And tommorow is the doubles part which will be way more competitive and I have a blister on the pad of my right index finger, and one on hte palm right under my pinky.:crying: I really don't want to let my partner down, so what would be best to rest it over the night? or should i just play through it.
puh leez... pop that blister right now and let it dry out, then apply some cream on it and patch it up with bandaid... u should be as good as new again =P
itz call u get a needle from the needle box and poke it thru ^_^;;; make sure that needle isn't dirty or u might get infection and u definitely won't be playing =P
i pop it, peel it, wash it if itz one of those wet blisters and bandaid it. if you get a wound, u can get bacteria too O_O as long as u clean it (also the cream, forgot the name but suppose to protect ur wounds while sooth it a little) then it should be fine, ur body will take care of the rest.
Does your blister look like this ? the one under the pinky hurt the most !!!! how to fix this any medicine?
hang your racket for a while, get some rest. or... pop the blister, put some healing cream and cover it with band-aid.
i wear one of those finger supports to help prevent skin hardening. I am also thinking it has something to do with your grip. What grip is it and how old is it? It may also be how you hold the racket.
Oh man. I think you should buy a new grip. Your old grip could be infused with bacteria already. Buy a new and clean one. I suggest a towel grip because it's softer. Don't hold your racket too hard. Just hold it lightly. The only time you should tighten it is when you hit the shuttle. Put some band aid. wash your hands every now and then. use hand lotion to soften the blisters. hope these would help.
I already have new grip on my racket it's yonex super Grap 30 . well i been playing almost everyday since last week. Now my focus is to improve my badminton game and give the club player. that now can destroy me easy a run for their money. what is those finger support look like ? the blister under then pinky hurt the most
When I practiced alot of golf a couple of years ago, I got similar blisters. What I did was to put on some coach tape to support and then just keep going... The blister will eventually heal and become a callus. Voila, it wont bother you any more.
Sports tape and second skin works well when you can't rest and need to keep on playing. Also increases the healing rate.
i just peel the skin off ... it's dry ... but it only hurt when you grip it .. i will go around the phamacy to see if i can find sport tape or second skin .... the blister is in an weird area as you can see no idea will the tape stays in place
Tape around your finger first, then around the horizontal of your hand, hopefully that'll hold it in place.
The most effective cure will be rest. Without rest, you'll just keep rubbing the blister. You could also use a blister plaster, but rest is best. If the blister is painful, you can ease the pain greatly by piercing it and allowing the fluid to drain. This should ideally be done with a sterile needle (you can sterilise a needle tip by holding it in a flame). After a blister has opened, try to keep the area clean and dry.
If you keep getting blisters, it means the racquet's grip is still moving within your palm while you're doing a stroke. This probably means your grip is too small for your hands, causing rubbing.
