Should be fun to assemble, and no fixed clamps getting in the way...

I dont know for sure, but it sounds like YY just imports the machine from Taiwan with their YY label on it.

Also it seems the YY ST250 is like twice the price of the Eagnas ST250.

Thanks Kelvin! I understand there's a big difference in price, but what i'd like to know is the quality. I don't have any experience in stringing racquet but would like to buy one that's easy to handle. It's straightly going to be a hobby and challenge for myself. I really don't mind to pay a bit more for Yonex if the handling is easier. Do you know if the necessary equipment comes with the machine too? Thanks again!

 

Hmm... I cant speak on YY st250 quality, the eagnas st200 I had was ok... some parts could have been machined down better, but it was not a big bother to me...

What was important is getting to know the machine you have, and in my belief, it is important to produce consistent results each time. (eg. proper frame shape is maintained, string bed tension is consistent.
This helps avoid any conflicts whether stringing for yourself or friends, worst thing that can happen is stringing someone else's equipment in different ways, and end up damaging their property )

In terms of equipment, you will probably want to pick up an extra flying clamp or two.
The experts here on the forum have recommended Hiqua, YY, and Alpha flying clamps.

The Eagnas seems to come with a nice small toolset to get you up and running.
Umm... not too sure about the YY ST250, perhaps the 2 YY reps here can weigh in on the specifics.

I haven't read any reviews of the YY ST250, but you might want to try a search, and see if anything comes up.

Again, my postings were not made in any attempt to disparage the YY machine... I'm only posting on info I know.
Since I am not as knowledgeable;
Some of the other experts here might be able to give more input.

Edit: Forgot to mention... once you learn how to string a racquet... its like learning how to tie your own shoe... you wont forget; except maybe with tying knots

Well if you end up biting the bullet, and ordering the YY ST250, make sure to take some photos, and come back here to let us know how it works out for you

A couple other stringers here have modded their machines already, with added glide bars, and fixed clamps, which really help in tight areas, where flying clamps wont fit. (also speeds up the string job considerably in some cases)

Though, its really nice to have the fixed/swivel clamps around especially when starting off on the mains and finishing the crosses (from what I've seen).
But then again as mentioned, I have chubby finger syndrome, and I find it cumbersome working around the clamps, on badminton frames, not so much for tennis.
(eg. if I decide to clamp from underneath the string bed, that I always jam a finger or knuckle into the base or two)

If you havent already watched someone string a racquet, Master Panda (Dinkalot); just finished a new stringing video, from a bird's eye point of view, so you can see what he doing. (Very nicely done, thank you for that Master Panda. It's always good for me to see how different people string, I can always learn or pick up something new )

Only issues, I've been running into since I tried pre-lacing the entire racquet first; is working out the damn twisting in the strings (chubby finger syndrome strikes again )

So I will probably go back to just pre-lacing the mains, and just do my usual weave weave weave, tension tension tension dealie

Being a 100% inexperience stringer, I'm planning to spend a lot of time with my toy, that's why I'm just hoping Yonex ST250 won't disappoint me too much in craftmanship. I'll definitely let you all know my experiences and post the pic here. Thank you very much again!

 

The fit and finish of the machine won't have anything to do with your performance stringing. As long as the supports hold the racket correctly and the tension puller pulls correctly, you'll be all set.

For me, I would not get the Yonex machine. It's not worth the money. If you are that concerned about the paint job, then don't get Eagnas.

 

I agree with both Master Pete and Sir DinkALot. You are paying too much for the Yonex ST250 while you can do the same with other machine (even if you can get it for dealer price).
