Portable Badminton Court

Are there any cheap portable badminton courts out there? Me and my friend want to play badminton on our spare time during weekdays where there is no open gym anywhere in my area.

By the way, I think it'd be better if it was meant for indoors.

I only know some mats, but they cost about 3000-6000$

I'm planning on buying the Yonex Portable Net System. Can the people who have this item recommend any sites where I could buy it for a cheap price?

I am sure you could get a net and stands for under $100 but the only temporary line marking system I know of is designed for use on grass (you peg it down).

The item is not super expensive, but shipping might be, consider the weight and size. Therefore, if you can purchase locally and do the local pick up, might be a better choice.

Why don't you just buy you a net and some rolls of tape...

Net is easy to find and cheap. The $$$ driven part is the poles.

Where exactly do you want to play?

Is there nothing you can fasten the net to?
Then you just need a net?

I'm sure you can buy some cheap outdoor sets for some $$$...

If you want to play in a gym without a badminton field, use a tap and use vollyball stands to stretch the net...

The main problem is, I wannna use the portable court to play around inside or outside for practice. If I buy the outdoor set, it could only be used outdoors. My friend has a net and we tried to stretch out his net to see if it was long enough for volleyball poles and it wasn't. Since I was playing casually back then, I didn't know how long it was supposed to be. I guess I'll have to check it out later.

If the volleyball poles are too far away from each other, maybe consider attached some ropes are both ends of the net, so, you "extend" the length of the net a bit. Just make sure the net appear to be on the center of the court.

Wow..u'll have to spend alot for that.Why bother?U wont play well anyway..if u just wanna play outdoor,it means it's just for fun.If it's for fun,then just play with racquetes,some birds,and something that means for lines.Otherwise,play properly in the indoors.I did that for myself..

could you let me know where i can get hold of one of the peg down on grass courts - i have surfed the web for ages without success. Thanks.

The outdoor peg down type nets & sets, are relatively inexpensive (like under $40USD inexpensive...) and can be purchased usually at any general sporting goods shops... or some other big box retail outlets that may carry sporting goods... usually not advertised online.
Some of the badminton & tennis specialty retailers also carry outdoor badminton sets... these are usually the peg down net type systems.

For Kimchi, the YY portable nets are ~$100USD, and they cover halfcourt play... buy 2, and you have a full net with a partition in the middle

Hi Kelvin thanks for the info - its the court layout I can't find not the nets though - will have to go hunt in store perhaps - the old fashioned way!
