its rather scarce on the net. cant find any specs for the smash 2. but plenty for the smash 1. i would think the both are about the same. so u cud search google for more info.
I dont know for sure, but the closest model I've found online were this pair called the Asics gel domain blue... http://www.tenniszon.com/Produits/CatByCo.asp?CoID=24&S=1&PTid=17B I will order a pair of the gel-block later, just to try out, they look pretty decent... not sure how the gel-smash would compare though...
i found them here. its classified as a volleyball shoe since its a volleyball site. http://www.canuckstuff.com/prod/vbshoes/vbs_m2.htm the gel block looks kinda high off the ground. be sure to write a review wen you get it. looks GREAT
lol yeah I think I just like the colour... really I should choose based on comfort, & support... Form over function... I will see if I can find out more about them in the meantime... but so far I have been very happy with the shb99ltd except that mine is about half a size to small for me
Yea...I think Ascis in general are a bit higher off the ground compared to yonex. Ascics are just indoor shoes not badminton exclusive so you gotta expect it. Almost twisted my ankle first time I played with a pair of gel rockets after changing to them...i'm getting used to it but probably looking to switch back to a pair of yonex or similar type soon...lol
actually there are some asics shoes made for badminton... http://www.asics.co.jp/products/others/index_I.html
LOL... I dont think that is entirely the case, but depending on the lighting conditions, the flash can illuminate something more than it really appears to be in person... eg. Yonex Wine Red grap... looks bright red in the catalogue & in ads. , but is actually wine red in person
wow...nice...never seen these around...price isn't too bad too..i mean over $100US is normal these days for a pair of shoes anyway. how come japan gets all the good stuff? but yea in general asics are just indoor. The difference between normal indoor and badminton are the arch area...badminton requires lower centre of gravity for stability...but wow these shoes are pretty nice especially the "hyper rushing" pair...someone tell me where to get these .
i seem to get tired of yonex designs.everyones wearing them noawadays.im not sayg they're nt good because they are.i jus wantd to try something new.the only place ive seen asics shoes in malaysia is Royal Sporting House but they only carry the old models. sigh
I'm very fond of the asics gel blade. Yeah they are general indoor court shoes, but are targeted more towards the sports of badminton and squash, which are very similar in terms of grip and support needed during movement. They look great as well. Only downside is that the left in sole (inside of left foot) does wear out quickly, but thats because i lunge alot.
about this, i thnk its pretty normal wit other brands as well.most of my shoes turned out like this n i needed replacement insoles
Yeah I suppose, but the shoe was advertised as having extremely tough outer material (called rhynoskin) and I expected it to last me longer than it did. I played for about 3 hours total, and a hole the size of a 5 pence coin had already developed...
I actually recently realized that a team mate of mine has these shoes and as you pointed out with the yonex as an example, the actual product isn't nice and bright as the picture. The color is actually a very dull bluey color. But you never know, if you play in a super well lit area with fluorecent lights they could look just as cool. btw I also saw a guy with the "hyper rushing" pair....they look even better in real life...drools
