no wonders. it is a brand owned and run by chinese and registered in Germany. Where it is manufactured I'm not sure. China?
both the 'headquarters' as the factory's where the stuff is made is based in China. the Germany-part was mostly to distinguish themselves from other brands in China...though the DE (Deutschland)-mark on the shaft is only on the Woven-series..all the new series have nothing saying germany on them..
i personally have a good impression on most German products but don't really like their Germany tagging strategy, so called marketing strategy. be proud of the Chinese element.
i don't mind at all. japanese products started from shity quality some 50 yrs ago. korean products started from junky standard. that was a piece of advice to the makers: if u don't like the quality of ur product, improve it, instead of branding it German. it's gonna be a shame hard to erase eventually. u mean most chinese products u have used are ****. 'cuz most chinese products u haven't seen/used at all (they might not be better though). quality comes with a price tag. they might be **** by ur standard, but they are dirt cheap. so the choice is always urs. but basically we can't live without goods made in china, so let's hope them do better.
Well would you say a Kason has better technologies than yonex and possibly plays better? You get what you pay for amigo.
where did Kason come from? regarding Sotx (like the thread ) The quality is just as good as yonex (paint-wise, finish, playign quality) if not 'better' (looking at the paintjobs on NS's) and the "you get what you pay for"..I paid 100 euros for my at500...and would pay 80 for my d500...if you can deduce how well those rackets play from that, I aplaude you... In the end, I'm not brand-horny..or specific about where my rackets are made... I think biases like that aren't justified, and not good for the baddy-market..
Well i admit.. it depends. Only get yonex for High-end models. And Kason is a chinese brand lol. Try comparing a SOTX woven to say An At900. Heck i think even the woven 16 is not as good as the At900T
Highlighted the point were it all goes wrong... you admit you never held a sotx racket...You knów Kason and Sotx are chinese... and out of the blue, you come to the conclusion the w16 can never be as "good" (whatever that is) as an at900... (without even specifying which...) errrr.... though, for the record..I have owned an ns8k. Which basically got the same hype as the at900's are getting now ( and the ns9's. at800's, at700, mp100 and ti-10 before them) And I can whole-heartedly say yes, I can name at least 5 sotx rackets which I find "better"...
hey jerby cool down cool down. what is better than what is pretty much a personal preference. sometimes it can never come to an agreement. vagpwner: i didn't mean to flame u.
I have but not a Woven 16. SOTX is rare here... Actually everyone has different preferences.. One man's food may be another's poison. Of course i have to admit. SOTX racquets are very very very much tougher than Yonex racquets.
I had to say it, if u like the product, u wouldnt mind whether where it is made. If u dont like the product, dont buy. And stop saying that china make lousy product or so, IMO they did make some nice product EG: Kason Tsf Series racket, SOTX woven series racket. And FYI, i did hands on both racket series and i have to say, well made.
