Heard that Efendi left lee's. Seems like the coaching crew keeps leaving one by one. So who is left at lee's doing the coaching?????? Just wondering, will lee's be able to compete with Mandarin and the new club that will be established.

I think there must be a very big problem within its management team otherwise how come there are so many good coaches left continously.
As far as I can remember, excellent coaches like Yan, the 2004 Athens Olympic silver medalist, left in oct 2005, Troy & Faye, the Toronto A & Open Champs, left in Dec 2005, Hariawan, the Canadian MS's champ, left in May 2006, Gregory left in June 2006, Matthew & Cherry left in Dec 2006, & now, Efendi. There was a total number of 8 excellent coaches left within 1&1/2 year time.
Apart from that, I know there were quite a few good badminton families plus some top junior & senior players left the club too!
My guess is that the disputes must be so irrepairable that the coaches & the players were given no choice but leave.
These problems shouldn't be left unattended & be kept going on forever without someone from management doing something about it. These managing personels must be so pathetic if nothing is being done soon & fast!
Can anyone tell me what's going on? Is it true that all the above coaches were hired by the new club, namely the Dragonfly Badminton Club?
Are you sure it is the beginning of Lee's being folded away?
    Is it worth joining now?

Interesting! May be someone from Lee's can tell us more about what was going on. I've met troy the other day and I didn't know efendi is no longer at Lee's. Otherwise I'd have asked him about that too. Will keep all of you posted.

Aiya! I just came back from holiday and found out efendi has quitted. I'm so disappointed! :crying: :crying: :crying: I must ask for the refund of the tickets of the private lessons. Just wondering how's Lee's is going to survive with only a few coaches in beginners' level. What happened to those glorious days when Troy, Hariawan, Huang Nan Yan, Hui Liang were there? I remembered the year when Lee's swept 4 out of 5 titles at Ont A and everyone wanted to join all because of the coaches. And now everyone leaves all because of there're no more coaches too. I have no right to talk about exactly what happened at Lee's in public but I was being told by other members that it's all about management. Somehow, all these coaches left because of the same reason. Let's just hope the new club Flying Dragon will be more diplomatic because the circle of badminton in Ontario is so small and the consumers are far more smarter than before! Cheers everyone!

    Apology!
    I apologize for my mistakes.
Firstly, it should be 9 coaches left instead of 8. Stacey left sometimes last year too. I believe she didn't like the management philosophy of the club at that time, I guess.
Secondly, the new club should be Flying Dragon, not Dragonfly badminton club. I think these are the 2 totally & completely different symbolic representation of ideologies.
Sorry for the errors & happy badminton forever!

As far as I know, only Hine is left behind besides Jennifer Lee. What's a pity!

Yes, Efendi is definitely a very good single's coach. As far as I know, before he left lee's, he coached Tim Lam & Michelle Li, both are provincial champs of this year, besides some other good players.

I really liked Efendi as a friend and a coach. He really took the time to get to know everyone, not just sit through his time to collect coin.

At least Lee's is planning to bring everything to the newer facility they have. It'd be nice not having to go back and forth and hopefully they won't have another singles court like the old gym had. Every organization has its down times, what's most important is that they are willing to make improvements and work through it. It appears they are so I have faith in them!

No, Hin went to coach for Lee's badminton in the Hong Kong branch. I think he is the supervisor there.
