Venues in Sydney

Hi all,

I'm looking for somewhere to play badminton with a couple of mates, where we don't need to book months in advance to get a court. Ideally in the region of somewhere between North Ryde and Manly.

We've played at Macquarie Uni a couple times but it seems to be real hard to find a time when the court is available to the general public. It's either used for netball or badminton clubs or just booked out.

In my younger days I used to play at Kilsyth in Melbourne and they had a sweet setup with dedicated badminton courts, anything similar available in Sydney?

Well, you can try the sports hall beside North Ryde RSL which has about 4 courts, or you can travel abit to the Ryde Aquatic centre on Victoria Road. I believe you can also get courts in the Sports Hall in Olympic Park pretty much on the day if you book in the morning. Maybe others can chip in for halls near Manly area.
