Hi as a beginner can you guys choose a racquet that is suited for someone with a reasonable smash and clearing for one to one matches please.

Within price range of £20 to £40 so about $45 to $90

from what u say,since u're a beginner,u dont have to spend that much for a racket.U can find a flexier racket,which strung about 20,21 lbs.Lots of brands n models to choose.But if u ask for a recommendation,maybe i can recommend a Kason Carvel 3.0.I use it my self,for defense,since it's so flexible.Then,spend the rest for a proper badminton shoes and some proper badminton lessons,to improve urself.

I'll say it again, lol. The AT 250 is a good racket for its price, although I'm not sure if you'd like the stiffness. It isn't that stiff for me, but I don't know.

My brother who is only 14 loved his AT250 till i snapped it across my knee.
How old and what do you play, and level?

Im 17 and I'm think im along the lines as a beginner/intemediate player and when I play I tend to smash alot.

Well maybe I was thinking of either getting muscle power 66 or a armortec 300. MP 66 to balance myself more towards defence or just brute power with the AR 300.

What do you think guys

which ever one you get, it wont affect your game drastically, trust me.

I would say go for the AR300 unless your prefer headlight rackets.

I would reccomend, for example, Head Nano Power 600 or Wilson V8.. Both really good rackets, at a bargain price, that can be used as you progress, but enough flex to get you going whipping the shuttle

the entry level yonex AT rackets are really good performers for their price. the AT150, 250 & 300 are all pretty good but the 300 is the best of the 3.

mid & top level RSL rackets are also excellent options. im just not sure bout the recent market prices.

yonex isometric 75 mf light is good enuff for a beginner to intermediate
RSL nova 6180 (higher tension frame) is plenty for a beginner and a racket you can stick with until ur an "advanced" player assuming you do not break the racket.
cheap brandless rackets are also great. they are typically dirt cheap for the quality and durability they can achieve.
