    Quoting from the pinned thread:
    If you want a racquet:

    1. How often do you play, how serious are you?

I play one time a week, but very serious.

    2. What style of player are you? (Aggressive smasher, net player ...)

Net play and Smash are prefered

    3. Do you care much about durability or is it all about performance?
    Both, but performance come first

    4. How much money do you want to spend?
    Under US$100

I'm a very beginner but improving and praticing many different skills with Carbonex-8100 and MP21.

Need for other raquest that can help in offensive side. I have spot Armortec 150 so far, would like to know what are other recommendations?

What is different between Armortec 150 and 250?

    please recommend, thanks.

If you are a beginner, I think your current rackets are fine. If you feel the string is very loose, consider re-string it, if you can find a reasonable deal locally. If you do want to upgrade your rackets, for US$100, the cab30ms is a good buy in yonex, but I think you should be able to find more attractive deals in other reputable non-yonex brands.

as a beginner it usually benefits u to work with the rackets u got. Then after they break or uve spent a lot of time using them (months, years) u should consider a new racket. By then ur skills should have improved a lot and the more advanced rackets would benefit u more

the MP21 is an excellent racket for beginners & intermediate players. my family has a bunch of those (MP21 2U/G5, BG65 @ 23 lbs) & i sometimes use it for fun. it provides decent power & control but the best of all, its very affordable & durable (3 years old). good strings like the BG80, 85 may be the way to go if you want a little bump in performance.

regarding the AT150, its also a great "bang for your buck" choice. i recently got one for my dad & its pretty good...although not as good as the higher end ATs, its still worth every cent. the AT250 is just like the 150, the only difference is the color & some of the materials used (info from salesperson).

you can either get your old MP21 restrung to save money for lessons or good shoes, or buy a new racket & enjoy the feeling of having a new racket...;):D

    Thank for reply.

I need another racquet for me coz I wanna save the old 8100 yet meaningful gift, so I think it is opportunity to try heavy head racquet.

I guess I would try AT150 unless someone can give me advice not to buy it.

It depends where you want to buy it from, and if string is an issue. I have an AT 250, and it's pretty good. If you want to save money, then I guess go for the 150.

Ok Buddies ! This some info for you,
    Between AT150 and AT250
    AT150 - shaft (Medium flexible) - graphite , frame-graphite super alloy
    AT250 - shaft (stiff) - H.M Graphite, ultimum Titanium , frame- Ultra H.M Graphite, g force Titanium.

If you hard hitter player , a lot of energy and power, - choose AT250 it give you more smashing power and stabillity, less vibrations.
If you at medium stage - choose AT150 fair in smashing, netting and drive

I'm Amourtec series lover , now is using AT300 and AT700 and looking for "AT900 technique" (Anyone know how much it cost?)

Not sure in Malaysia but AT900 T in UK is around £120 from an Authorised Yonex stockist.

£120 converted to different currencies is:

    814 Malaysia Ringgits

    239 United States Dollars

    176 Euros

    265 Canadian Dollars

    363 Singaporean Dollars

    1,870 Hong Kong Dollars

    (All using xe.com)

However, UK is overpriced in general, so you'll find it a lot cheaper for sure.

from those technical mambo jambo, at250 would be the best choice, but actually playing with it, i felt little difference between the 2. the medium flex shaft will take the vibrations away a little. smashing power would depend on urself. the only difference is tension stringing. i do not recomment over 24lbs, maybe 25, for either racket

MP21 is a very good beginner's racket. I used one for quite some time and it refused to die. Have upgraded to MP45 recently (partly because there was a promotion here in SG)

new recommendation for you. RSL Diamond X2 FP, (yellow color racket). decent smash and great net play/attack racket due to itz lightness (80g). i tend to swing a bit too fast so far due to inadeptability... great defense racket too. my drop return off a smash was a lot better than if i used the RSL Nova 6180, better control i'd say.
