please no Taufik, Vita. We could clearly see how Vita played in SEA Games, simply not at her best already. Lilyana/Shendy look quite good, they shocked Lee Hyo Jung/Lee Kyung Won in Uber Cup preliminary in UC 2010.
I prefer(the bold part) :
- Simon Santoso
- Taufik Hidayat
- Tommy Sugiarto
- Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka
- Alamsyah Yunus
- Sony Dwi Kuncoro
- Mohammad Ahsan
- Bona Septano
- Markis Kido
- Hendra Setiawan
- Alvent Yulianto Chandra
- Hendra Aprida Gunawan
- Angga Pratama
- Rian Agung Saputro
- Lindaweny Fanetri
- Adrianti Firdasari
- Aprilia Yuswandari
- Maria Febe Kusumastuti
- Bellaetrix Manuputty
- Hera Desi Ana Rachmawati
- Greysia Polii
- Meiliana Jauhari
- Vita Marissa
- Nadya Melati
- Anneke Feinya Agustine
- Nitya Krishinda Maheswari
- Liliyana Natsir
- Shendy Puspa Irawati

If Anneke/Nitya can perform well in Korea PSS and Mas SS, they have chance to be 2nd double for INA, and Lily/Shendy might be included. But by excluding Vita, I think she will be disappointed again with PBSI. Anneke/Nitya now #16, Vita/Nadya #12
As for men single, I'm sure Taufik will be included because his ranking is good enough to increase INA seeding. PBSI would not take risk. By winning India GPG, Taufik at least proves that he is still better than Tommy, Alam, and Hayom. As for double, I believe Alvent will be included as secret weapon to pair with Ahsan.

For Thomas Cup, I think INA will be seeded #1-2 with Korea, unless China wants to participate in the qualifying (not sure where I get the news). There are 4 spots for Thomas cup.
For Uber Cup, I hope INA will be seeded #3-4, there are Japan, Thailand, Taipei above us. but only 3 spots for Uber. CMIIW

i prefer INA Uber Team to eliminate Greys/Meli instead of Vita..Despite the poor performance showed by Vita/Lily during 2011 SEAG team match, i believe that the can perform a lot better in this Uber Qualifying round..Greys/Meli has been going downhill recently since Greys got injury..

The players I would want to see in the Thomas/Uber Cup Qualifying Round:
Thomas Cup
1. Simon Santoso - he might be INA's MS1 and hopefully he has recovered by Feb.
2. Taufik Hidayat - despite his loss of form, he still probably could be counted as MS2 in matches against teams like Malaysia or Korea (against Mohd Hafiz Hashim and Shon Wan Ho).....who are arguably the opponents to beat in the Qualifying Round. He also needs the points for Olympics Qualification.
3. Tommy Sugiarto - Tommy could also use a spot in the Thomas Cup to boost his ranking for the Olympics qualificaiton in case Taufik could not make it eventually. He's now at WR17, just one spot off the WR16 cut-off place.
4. Alamsyah Yunus - Although Hayom could probably have a higher ranking than Alam by end of January, I still think Alamsyah deserves a spot for his hardwork throughout the years he's out of Pelatnas. I like his attitude and spirit especially against 2nd tier to 3rd tier players, whom he could typically beat, but I doubt Hayom would be able to as we have seen in Korea & India GPG.
5-6. Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan - they will be INA's MD1 and high hopes are placed on them to deliver.
7-8. Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan - warning signs for Kido/Hendra as they have dropped further to WR11. Given that their 2 Japanese opponents for the 8th Olympic spots (Hashimoto/Hirata and Kamawae/Sato) are likely to be included, they need the pts desperately.
9-10. Angga Pratama/Rian Agung Saputro - since the only 2-3 strong pairs INA would probably face throughout the Qualification are from KOR, MAS, and JPN; Angga/Rian could use the experience of competing in a Team-Event against pairs from other countries. I hope PBSI are brave enough to include them in the young pair's bid to break into the top 10 by end of 2012!

Uber Cup
1. Lindaweni Fanetri
2. Adriyanti Firdasari - these 2 players are in need of Olympic pts, which are arguably easier to obtain through the Qualification.
3. Bellaetrix Manuputty
4. Hera Desi - I will also hope PBSI give chance to these 2 players to prove themselves early in the Team Event! There's no pt to include Febe or April.
5-6. Meiliana Jauhari/Greysia Polii
7-8. Nitya Khrishinda Maheswari/Anneke Feinya Agustine - both SHOULD BE included for Olympic pts
9-10. Liliyana Natsir/Shendy Puspa Irawati - to introduce an element of surprise.

PBSI Changes The Contract System
JAKARTA-As the year changes, big changes will also occur at the national training PB PBSI Cipayung . The chief sports of badminton in homeland was going to make changes to the contract mechanism to pelatnas shuttlers start from 2012. Sekjen PB PBSI Yacob Rusdianto expressed that the mechanism is kept matured by his side. The plan, the system will be decided after a meeting of the entire board of PBSI on 5 January. "It was the will of the coach and shuttlers. So the system is almost certainly going to change because it was considered quite proper," he said yesterday (29/12).
The shuttler's contract previously created by PBSI is a contract per year. That way, rising or falling value of the contract to be decided each player pelatnas beginning of the year. Well, with this new contract system, the shuttlers could quickly the contract changes . Until today, he added, there are three options for the contract system. Namely, the contract is updated per three months, four months, or six months. "This is what we're talking about. We find that the best system for the shuttlers and for Indonesia badminton itself," said Yacob. To measure changes in the value of the contract, PBSI will calculated it with the achievements gained. Thus, the contract will be adjusted with shuttlers own rank in the BWF ranking (world badminton federation).
With that change, Yacob hope the residents of pelatnas will be more encouraged and more spiritful. Therefore, the rise and fall of achievement that they get will also affect how the amount of the contract. "Per deadlines that have been decided, the shuttlers will be evaluated based on appearance. Good achievement means the contract value rises, then if go down the value could go down as well, seen from the results evaluation, "explained the man, who also serves as chairman of the East Java Pengprov PBSI.
Meanwhile, the senior shuttler Liliyana Natsir when asked for comment on the last step to be taken by the PBSI is quite supportive. For her, this is more fair way to pay tribute to her achievements inscribed by the shuttlers. "For me it's probably more fair. So, if performance rises, do not need a year. Conversely, if a player dropped his accomplishments, his contract may fall as well. More comfortable is for the athletes, "she said. However, she also hopes eventually there will be additional clauses related to the achievements gained during the time period agreed upon. If you won multiple titles, will be considered a bonus. "I believe this will make the shuttlers the more encouraged. Especially for the young ones. If accomplished, the young rising, if senior ugly, should receive the contract being reduced" said her.
