Maybe, our Indonesian friends who have watched this film can share something with us.
I did watch it during Premier....eventhough the movie is nothing to do with Lim Swie King...but I have been told that King's childhood is similar to the movie...for example: his father is hard on him, etc..
The movie has more than enough inspiration...there is a moment when whining father did not say the word..thats the best moment and you feel how proud he is and his loving tender care eventhough he did not show it...
There are few funny moments and some characters are not supposed to be there..I guess...

I did take a pic with LSK after the premier......

    It's a very good movie.
Too bad it's aired in the same time with Transformers: RotF.
Children prefer to watch transforming robots, unfortunately.

yes, i agree with Jagdpanther, it's aired in the same time with transformers, but, i think that's not bad, i thought that there wouldn't a lot of people watching it, but the facts in my city, it always full,

i love the conflict and the resolution between the father and his son, it's so,.. wonderful,

Yes, i think that "King" in Indonesia has been put in the wrong slot of time (the time during May-July is when lot of summer blockbuster movies strikes all theatre around the world)

In Bandung, Blitz Megaplex PvJ has just showing it in Studio 9 or 10 i forgot, while Ciwalk XXI has not showing it at all. (thanks to the attack of Autobots and Decepticon War, I think)

The timing of the launch of movie for kids in INA has to be in late June... because that's the school holiday time... Thus, Garuda di Dadaku and King were launched around the same time... The Americans think the same way too, thus, they launched Transformers around this time too. Because it is their school holiday time too...
