The next generation more famous as player :
Hermawan Susanto, Fung Permadi, Goei Ren Fang (Allan Budi Kusuma)

Ardy is coaching at a Canadian club... Doing very ok, but most probably won't produce world-class players [out of Canada]... Fung was a good coach for Taiwan, but now is in PB. Djarum's team-management, so he doesn't coach as much anymore...

Hermawan, Haryanto, Ren Fang (Alan), Tiong Ping, etc. are too busy with their respective businesses, they don't coach anyone other than their own kids, hehehe...

Oh, Hermawan Susanto + Sarwendah's kid [Andrew Susanto] is very talented and has earned good marks from his coaches of having a high badminton-IQ [meaning: easy to absorb all badminton related lessons]. We shall see what will happen later..... [many things can still go left and right over many years]....

Default Indonesia's Badminton Team Passes On Korea Open

    January 05, 2010

    Ami Afriatni

After enduring one of its worst years in history last season, the Indonesian Badminton Association is doing everything in its power to avoid a repeat in 2010.

Its approach is a familiar one, though, as the association, also known as the PBSI, plans to keep its national shuttlers in their training camp and hold them out of the Super Series opener, the Korea Open on Jan. 12-17.

Indonesia head coach Christian Hadinata said the shuttlers needed more time to recover after having only returned to training in Cipayung this week following their post-Southeast Asian Games break. Instead, the national team will make its season debut at the Malaysia Open on Jan. 19-24.

“Sending players to back-to-back tournaments with only a little time to rest, such as Korea and Malaysia, has become our biggest problem. The PBSI is trying to fix it this year,” Christian said. “The players will have no time to rest and will lose their focus, and then they get nothing from both tournaments.”

Christian offered Simon Santoso as an example. Simon claimed his first Super Series title by winning the Denmark Open on Oct. 25, but he went on to lose in the French Open second round four days later.

“It will be better if they go until the final match of a tournament than only reaching the quarterfinals in two successive championships,” the coach added.

Default My predicted Pelatnas Squad 2010

At most 6 players/pairs in each category for Pelatnas Squad.

    MS
Sony Dwi Kuncoro, Simon Santoso, Tommy Sugiarto, Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka, and 2 others (maybe Evert Sukamta and Yoga Pratama).

    WS
Adriyanti Firdasari, Maria Febe Kusumastuti, Maria Kristin Yulianti, Lindaweni Fanetri, Aprillia Yuswandari (oh no, but since she topped the selection last week, she won't be kicked out for sure ), Febby Angguni (??)

    MD
Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan, Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki, Lingga Lie/Wifqi Windarto, Fernando Kurniawan/Afiat Yuris Wirawan, Mohd Ulinnuha/Berry Angriawan, Angga Pratama/Rian Agung Saputra, Yohanes Rendy Sugiarto/partner (I prefer Ricky Widianto)

    WD
Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii, Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati, Annisa Wahyuni/Anneke Feinya Agustine, and 2-3 other pairs??

    XD
Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir (although I would very much prefer them to split up), Fran Kurniawan/Pia Bernadet Zebadiah, Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto, Tontowi Ahmad/Richi Puspita Dili, Irfan Fadhilah/Wenny Agriani, and perhaps 1 other pair?

Yup, considering Maria Febe WR is better than Maria Kristin.
That KOMPAS's article also mentioned INA Uber team chance is quite hard to progress into Final round in KL. South Korea, Japan, Thailand and Hongkong are the toughest opponent candidates for INA team in Uber Cup Qualifying Round.

If Maria Kristin is played as WS3 and Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii as WD2, we should secure the 2 pts against Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and India; while there's still a fighting chance against both South Korea & Japan.

On top of that, it pretty much depends on the draw.

I think they have chance in Asia UC Qualifying too

I don't think Cheng Wen-Hsing is still in the TPE National Team. Maybe Hau-Ge can correct me. Nevertheless, I think Nitya/Grace can beat Chien Yu-Chin/partner, while Liliyana Natsir/partner can beat TPE's WD2. Maria Kristin can also beat either Hsu Ya-Ching or Tai Tzu-Ying.

And then again, INA won't be drawn against ALL these pairs. I expect INA to be facing one of either KOR or JPN in the Preliminary Group Phase, and then hopefully SIN and IND. If we are lucky, we will avoid both KOR and JPN
