Indonesia Badminton

If i am not mistaken.

When Tang coached our Indonesia's badminton troops decades back, he was not holding Indonesia citizenship, he was yet to be confirmed by Indonesia government in regards to his citizenship although he has processed and waited long enough for it.

As a result, Indonesia Government did not give approval for his citizenship. he was really upset, and his relatives advised him to bring his whole family back to Mainland and start to train some China young badminton warrior in local clubs, i forgot which city.

At the end he caught the eye of China National Team's board, and started to give tons of his experience to China's Team, and you knew the rest of the story already. The Dominance of China team in International Badminton Major events.

ya ya ya....no one to blame beside INA old fashion and corrupt bureaucrat, i hope this is a leason to be learnt not only in badminton but many other fields. We now life in a much closer world, got to make the most of you got.

So should TXH be classified as 'local' or 'foreign, import" coach? His first coaching stint would be with INA, not CHN. IMO, LM would be INA first foreign coach.

Since Tang had been in INA all along as PR before becoming coach, then I consider him local domestic made-in-INA product, not import stuff

LM will be the import, direct from CHN

Yes i agree, although he's not born in INA, I believe it was his intention to live and become INA citizen since he was very2 young. Just so unfortunate he did not get his citizenship.

So, Indonesia, what are you waiting. Not easy to get a very respected person. Give him a plot or land to build badminton hall.

IMHO it is useless to get the most experienced coach to Indonesia
it is not the lack of coach nor talented player that brings Indonesia's badminton down
there are plenty of that locally
but it is the lack of self discipline and fighting spirit of the nation
that we as a nation don't have
Indonesian still think of their past glory
well, I say it is time to wake up and smell the coffee
the reality is now things has changed

For some reasons that i dont want to say explicitly here, thinking about Li Mao coaching in INA there is a potential that he can attract and spot talents that perhaps current local coaches could not. Although at the same time i think it was a risky and maybe not necessary decision bringing him over.

i hope PBSI will not call TH anymore for the next tourney(TC,SC,even for olympic),let him enjoy his old-day with no pressure and more relax
maybe he still the best in INA but he dont have that fighting spirit anymore(bad example for INA youngster)
