Hehe. The biggest shock news would be (speculation +++) is that Indonesia attract the Thing back.

Cheung, you tease!!
I seriously doubt if that would happen now, given that he's involved with that academy set up by LYB and all of that...
But given the fact that Liang Chiu Sia is back and training the INA girls, your speculation may not be completely off the table either...
The PBSI must be feeling like a 60's and 70's reunion party!

Finally got my internet connection back home.
Liang Chiu Sia has been a positive effect to Lindaweni Fanetri with Linda finally winning her first GPG title in India GPG and reaching another 2 Finals this year. April also reached Korea GPG Final.
As for Febe, I think she will be returned to PB Djarum, while we still need Firda for Team Events.

Hope that MD coach and players will be changed, since we have many talent of MD but there is no Top 10 INA MD at the moment. The 1st INA MD, Angga/Ryan also not convince us to be strong contender of world top10 MD....So sad. I have no idea about coach but I think better if one coach only focus with 3-4 pairs only, rather than now have 6-8 pairs.

My guesses for the surprise :
1. Lilyana gets a different partner
2. 4 Mainaky in the coaching line up

3. Hendrawan as coach. <--- what I want most but one of the unlikeliest to happen soon.

I had posted this on another thread, but it may be worth posting here as well...

Excerpts:
...Veteran Indonesian coach Rizqi Budi Raharjo has his logic for Asian supremacy: For him discipline matters most and the academies in Asia give utmost importance to this. He cited India's national coach Pullela Gopichand and said he was highly disciplined and enforces this in his wards.
"Gopichand is a good coach because he disciplines his players and is strict with them. Without discipline no player can aspire to go up in life. Indonesia, a badminton powerhouse not long ago has gone down over the years because of the lack of discipline while countries like China, Korea and Japan have come up as their players are disciplined," says Rizqi, who was the head coach at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA) till March.
..."Rexy tells me that the culture in Europe is such that players can't be disciplined and a tough sport like badminton needs utmost focus throughout your playing career, if you are serious about winning. No wonder, the supply line from Europe is drying up."
If everything goes well, Rizqi and Rexy will be coaching Indonesia as the two have been called by their national federation in January to discuss how they plan to do so.

That's very true. The thing that makes Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei much better than Taufik is discipline. I don't agree with the ageing excuse.
I hope Rexy will kick out of pelatnas those that are not discipline, no matter how talented they are.
