One big way to revive INA badminton and end these endless money dispute is to return to the individual contract system [used before 1986 or something... before this stupid collective contract system]... Our former PBSI president Mr. Dick Sudirman and Mr. Ferry Sonneville was in favor of the individual contract system while Mr. Tri Sutrisno [the former vice-president of Soeharto] and whomever became president of PBSI after him favor the collective contract system.

Why? Unfortunately, this current collective contract system is a way for any current PBSI management to earn money [an mismanage it as they please ] while letting the players work for the management... If the chosen system is the individual contract [like before Pak Tri Sutrisno's era], the players can earn way more money for themselves... [this will induce more people to become professional badminton players]...

After the players get the money straight from the sponsors... they have the right to manage [or mismanage] their own personal finances as they please...

Give PBSI to Djarum it would be fine or give them to Indofood they have loads of money or maybe Salim group

you eat too much indo mi kary ayam. anyway MD and Xd just won the WC and runner up in MS. so, pelatnas still producting good badminton player.if you talk about money, evrybody want money eventhe head of PBSI.

Oh dear....another familiar issue arised yet again before 2 important tourneys....money....with players' contract money from Yonex yet to be released by PBSI Flandy even lamented...."3 months without pay"...... The amount is US$125,000 or Rp 1.2 Billion for the period of May-July 2007, which is the players' main source of income and it is overdue for more than a month now.

Appartently, the money has already been given by Yonex, but yet to be transferred to players' accounts, since the approval has yet been signed by the head of PBSI. So, Taufik Hidayat, acting as a representative for the players is wondering where is the money stuck now and how come it take so long for Sutiyoso (PBSI's head) to sign the letter to release the funds to the players

This is embarassment for Sutiyoso. I hope He fixes it otherwise more players will leave for other countries....or quit and move to other clubs like Djarum..

You can not blame the players to bring this matter out to news media as Nova said that they have hard time to meet Sutiyoso and Taufik suggested how difficult to sign the fund release which had been agreed upon....

The classic matter, PBSI always demand achievement from the players without totally commitment to fulfill their right. Contract money and bureaucracy are primary obstacles that make all shuttlers desperately how to overcome this problem. No intensive communication between players and PBSI top-level official.

Why? The problem here that Sutiyoso promised that the delay wont happen again.....well...it happens again...thats one of taufik's critic about management openly in newspaper....saying that the management could not fault the players only but the management should be more objectives and things should change within management also....

I can't explain it myself... How many terribly-managed badminton-country can still accomplish such feats?!? Can you imagine what other big things INA players can achieve if INA badminton is actually well-managed?!? That's why I believe very much in the long-term future of INA badminton... We are just so damn blessed with so many badminton talents year-after-year-after-year...

As the Chinese saying goes: "Your blessing is also your curse" Because talents keep popping up and popping up in INA, the management took so many things for granted...

In my opinion, INA is the Brazil of badminton! In soccer, Brazil just have soooo many talents in their gene-pool and soccer-crazed culture... According to my Brazilian friends, soccer-management over there was [in general] terrible. After dominating between 1958 to 1970, ...between 1974 and 1990 Brazil can't reach the World Cup final game. But between 1994-2002, they were in the final game every time due to somewhat better management...

INA surely have the gene-pool and the badminton-crazed culture. Now we just need better management / better policies and things will change for the better! We shall see...

We are doing thing right now... But as badMania said: "Rome was not build in one day"... There are still some 'forces of good' left in INA badminton society... We shall eliminate the bad practices & policies one by one [depending on the situation]... ...replace them with many positive and win-win-win practices & policies...

But all of this requires explanations, negotiations, etc. ...so that more and more of the oligarchy in charge [most of whom are neutral -not evil-, but beyond the direct control of the 'forces of good'] can be convinced that there are better ways of doing things. The mindset of INA badminton management has to be changed. Changing mindset is extremely difficult...
