Hello there, I consider myself as a "B+ level" all-around offensive player and I'm using a Yonex Ti10 2U SP version racquet with tension at 22lbs and very happy with it. I've never used a 3U racquet before and now very keen to get a Yonex Ti 10 3U with BG 68Ti string from the Yonex Shop at WTC at Bangkok. But the problem for me is that the staff at the Yonex shop told me and insisted on stringing the Ti10 3U at 18lbs for the first time stringing, in which personally I think it's a bit too lose for my game. I understood their main concern was for the sale warrantee reason. So could you please tell me if it's quite safe to have the Yonex Ti10 3U TH version racquet strung at 20lbs or 22lbs or even up to 23/24lbs?? Many thanks in advance. David
I woudl agree with the lady! The first time u string pls always string it for less! I usually do that! Let the racket stabilise a bit and then take it up slowly! U can string it up to 22 to be on teh safe side!
My Ti-10 3U was strung first at 22lbs, and now at 24lbs, but I that you should string it a little less to make sure. Btw, mine is not broken yet.
i have one Ti-10 (3u) and my tension is 24/26lbs. is still working . david wrote: > > Hello there, > I consider myself as a "B+ level" all-around offensive player > and I'm using a Yonex Ti10 2U SP version racquet with tension > at 22lbs and very happy with it. > > I've never used a 3U racquet before and now very keen to get > a Yonex Ti 10 3U with BG 68Ti string from the Yonex Shop at > WTC at Bangkok. I used to have a Ti-10 3U and it had been broken sometime ago. I strung it at 25 lbs and it was broken at the 3rd time when I strung the racquet.
Re: MP100 & Ti10 At Yonex Shop in WTC Quoted from “Ake” Author: Ake Date: 07-04-01 08:55 1) Central Chidlom on the right, walk along Rama1 (Sukhumvit road).Next is Worldtrade centre(WTC) Tel: 66 2 2590103/2590104/2590105 on the right, Siamsquare on the left, MBK on the left, National stadium on the left, then, some little shops on the left. 2) Super Sport is by far more expensive than WTC and the shops next to National stadium. 3) Yonex shop in WTC can give you a good price if you buy in set, nearly the same price as those little shops. 4) National stadium is not Hua Mark stadium. 5) MP100 is 3,300 Baht - Ti 10 at 3,100 around. Do your own negotiation. 6) Racket is TH. 7) Bangkok is now use new area code. Dial 02 before phone number, even that you will call from Bangkok to Bangkok. (01 for mobile phone). Hope this will help some.
