new raquets cost too much [sometimes] .that why i was think of a second hand there chep and yet you can get a good price who cares if it has a couple of scraches i is still a good raquer
well, you never actually know where in the frame is weak or strong when you buy 2nd hand racquets. I prefer new racquets because i know that someone elses sweat hasn't drenched the handle... and besides that... I know that the racquet hasn't been though any torment, therefore it should still be strong. If your going to buy a racquet... you either buy a really good racquet... or you buy a really poor racquet...
Buying a second hand racquet it a bit of a gamble. On one hand, the owner might be aware of some problem with the racquet and therefore wants to get rid of it... On the other hand, a used racquet has already been through a real-life quality control, so to speak... if the frame, handle and shaft are intact a few scratches or paint chips is nothing to worry about. But inspect carefully for cracks etc.
as long as u know the seller and where he/she live and his/her next of kin if u don't clash racket, the racket can last a very long time so the initial cost is not a big factor
I think what Aaron means is he wants to buy a second hand as in a backup racquet. He doesn't mean a second hand that someone else has used. He refers to secnd hand as a new racquet but fairly inexpensive and for a backup. That's what he means when he says second hand.
