Do I really need to say anymore? :p This occurred when I was unwinding my push shot, so the only thing that contacted with the racquet at the time of breakage was AIR (I didn't return the shuttle btw). Luckily no one was hurt when the shaft and head flew across the court. I've also become a believer of that story where someone was impaled in this circumstance. RIP Ti-10, I barely knew you. :crying:

Holy Beep Beep Beep, this is incredible! A brand new (new version) Ti-10 snapped at the cone. You are probably the first to report this on BF! Good work by taking photos for us.

The snap looks quite clean. I wonder if it were a manufacturing defect or something else.

Its understandable to have a ti-10 that breaks at the cone due to its flexibility. You must have a strong swing.

Actually, quite the opposite. I have a very weak swing haha. I seriously think that this is a manufactuer's defect because I was taking a short swing to return a push.

Either that or GunBlade008 is Master Dan's long lost relative :D.

But we don't see FHF snap Ti-10s like that .

Seriously, how did you pack the racquet when you or someone else transported it from Asia? Did someone like Master Dan flex the shaft in a static manner (dry bending test)?

I recieved it from a retailer (whom shall remain nameless for now) less than a month ago. I retained it in the same condition that I recieved it in, and I store my racquets with the utmost care, my AT700 4U has survived for nearly 2 years now :D I would understand the Ti-10 breaking like this during a smash, but FHF doesn't break any racquets like this, nor was this a smash, it was more of a push return.

The only positive thing that has come out of this is that I have just noticed what a great camera I have, I can zoom down to the fibres in the shaft with near perfect clarity lol

ouch, my condolences mate, that's nasty. won't you be able to get a replacement since it's so new and obviously not from a clash?

by the way, what's happened to dan, haven't seen him around in ages ...

I have emailed the retailer now, and at this time, he is probably sleeping. I really do hope that I can get some kind of reimbursement. I liked this racquet, I was going to pick up 2 more to replace my AT700s :(

well, good luck to ya. you're the first to report a broken new ti-10 to my knowledge, it'd be dissapointing if they were as fragile as that.

LOL how come you guys break your racquets outside the cone?
Mine all snapped from within

Mind you, I've gotten them all replaced now, but still... interesting spot to break them.

Oh, and sorry for your loss GB
I'm sure your retailer will do his best to get you a new one.

    Cheers.

Cool thanks, how can you tell though?

Sorry, I've never seen an S up close in my hand :p
    Only type X.

so i'm quite unaware of physical cosmetic differences.

At the cone, where it says "Yonex" is in white, which means it is Type X. If it were black with white print, that'd be a Type S
