I'm currently playing with my trusty 3u MP77, but i'm looking for a remplacement racket, because its nearly impossible to find a second MP77 nowadays. Which recent model could play approximatively like a MP77 ? Do you think guys that a NS9000S would be a good choice ?
I dont think so. Armortec 500 is head heavy and medium stiff. MP77 is even balanced and stiff. Which racket could play close to a MP77 ? Any advice ?
I'd try out the mp99 if I were you. Or. You could start a topic in the buy/sell forum, to see if anyone has got one to sell.
There are some old relevant threads which you might be interested to read: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32190&highlight=mp77&page=2 http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41577&highlight=mp77 http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10971&highlight=mp77
I don't really see your problem.. If you like your MP77, Then just buy a few spare ones.. I am sure there are plenty of good condition used MP77s for sale, and it will probably be less expensive than a new top model YY.. /T
Go for Carlton Powerflo 807 Wide (2007) series. Weight 85g (3U) Grip G5 Even Balance Max String - 28lbs Iso Micro Carbon Head Stiff I m sure not difficult to find at your place since it's UK brand.
If his worries are that MP77 is an out-going model, It seems unwise to choose another one from the same out-going model-series They would of course also NOT share the balance, flex etc he liked on the MP77.. /T

4 years ago, I m only use MP77 (2U version) after it damage due to hard clash with my friend racket. It was happened last year. After that I buy 7 non yonex racket such as Pro Ace TB 111, RSL Laser 6800, Prince Pro 86 XP Ti, RSL Mil 5 Energy 5180 Ti, Carlton Aero Speed 29, Apacs Nano 555 Speed and Carlton Powerflo 807 Wide (last month). From my own experience finally I find out that the CPF 807 W is the most closer to the my late MP77.

Hi wakloo69, I would like to visit this shop you recommended. Do you know of a bus service from JB Customs to Masai or how much the cab fare will cost roughly? thanks
i think quite number of buses going to masai town, u can wait bus infront of city square (opp mc donald). look for bus plate going to Masai will do. last time there is bus 208 (maju white blue), now yellow bus (dont know nbr) roughly take an hr or plus to masai.
Actually ive played with both racquets, and the stiff ratings by YONEX SUCK!, at700 is supposedly stiffer than 500, however i have both racquets and i must say 500 is stiffer, and my 500 is older than my 700. Thats what i wanted to say first, as now i will say that AT500 is quite similar to MP77, its just a TAD bit head heavier than 77
Taxi Fare JB-Masai RM 40. I think better you take a bus from Terminal larkin which have so many trip to Masai. You also can wait in front of Komtar but I sory not sure which bus. Ask people there. The shop is behind the terminal bus masai.
