Luton - Badminton Players Wanted - Vauxhall Badminton Club
Luton is suffering a major drop in female league badminton players, several clubs in and around the area are being dominated by men. Unless this trend can be stopped the medley league which is now down to 4 divisions will soon be down to 3 (there was as many as 17 ten years ago).
If you live in or around the Luton area, check out
The season has just finished but we are one of the few clubs that plays through the summer; Every tuesday 8-10pm at the Vauxhall Recreation Club (Non members welcome) directions on website, starts June 12th 2007, £4 per night, £2 juniors. We advise players below an intermediate level not to attend as it is a league club but very friendly none the less.

Luton women players
I live in Luton. But the last time I regularly played badminton was like when I was 16. What sort of level are you looking for ? I am not confident enough to play matches yet i guess. But I am chinese, i hope its in the blood. With some commitment and training I might be helpful... looking forward to hear from you soon.

Wendy, I found this great club called Challney badminton club here in Luton. I play with them every friday night from 7-10pm. They are extremely friendly and have mixed ability players both male and female. Ive been 3 times now and I love it! They use feather shuttles too which is a bonus. They are not playing this friday ofcourse because of the xmas break but will start again next friday. If you are interested pls let me know and I can direct you there. They play at challney highschool.
I have been to vauxhall badminton club too but i found challney to be far more friendly to be honest.
let me know..

Hi there, Challney Badminton club is very good but they will take a break over the summer. The last session will be in mid July actually. They play every friday night 7-10pm at challney high school and are a very good and friendly club. However, me and my friends all play quite regularly every week as I get free courts in Dunstable leisure centre. If you are interested you are more than welcome to join us.

oh James20, thats not great maybe you should find another club haha actually most clubs that play in school halls just rely on when the school will remain open for term time. They normally break for half term and summer hols
