I don't understand the format, are countries allowed to send in as many teams as they want? And compete through the tournament or do they take turns playing?

Wow they send He Hanbin/Yu Yang as Zheng/Gao's back up instead of Xie/Zhang.It means LYB puts high hope to them for the future.
For WD,It's Sad to know that ZJW doesnt play, but I'm still glad coz LYB still believes in Yang/Zhao.

But both Xie Zhongbo and Zhang Yawen are in the team. I think LYB can still play them if necessary.

LYB is known for taking risk but it si necessary to bring young players to feel pressures....plus CHN has strong team so it does not matter.....they will win....

If you look closely at the team members, China had 3 of their top XD pairs. And also 3 top WD pairs.

XD: Zheng Bo/ Gao Ling, Xie ZB/ Zhang YW, He Han Bin/ Yu Yang

WD: Zhang YW/Wei YL, Yang W/ Zhao TT, Gao Ling/Yu Yang

I believe LYB probably will play all the XD pairs in Sudirman Cup to gain Olympic points.

Maybe like this: ZB/GL play Thai pairs, Xie ZB/ Zhang YW play England pairs and He HB/Yu Y play Mas pairs.

For another 2 slots, if I am LYB, I will bring one MS Chen Jin and one Ws Zhu Lin. They can play in group matches for Olympic points.

As predicted earlier, CHN will bring their top-gun to seek six times winner of Sudirman Cup. And their dream will comes true soon in Glasgow unless miracles happen there. LYB is so smart take the youngster He Han Bin and Yu Yang into the squad to gain some experience in high-level team competition.

Probably CHN will set their premier line-up for Semifinal and Final matches like this:
    XD -- Zheng/Gao
    MS -- LD
    WS -- Zhang Ning
    MD -- Cai/Fu
    WD -- Wei/Zhang

So my prediction is right. China WD and XD are strong. They can pair lots of pairs depending on who they meet.

The only sure bet is maybe MD, Cai/Fu will be played all the time. Except maybe when China meet Thailand. Maybe.
