    hi there
we will be visiting the area soon and would like to know if there are badminton shops/malls where we can buy rackets and other badminton stuff, like track suites, shoes etc? I am keen to buy KASON rackets hence would be grateful for any info.
    cheers

You will find many sports shops in Tianhe Sports Stadium (Tianhe Tiyu Guan as they pronounce it in Mandarin). You can get there by underground.

Is better and safer if you just goto Hong Kong to get badminton gears.

Is a little cheaper and chances of getting a knock off in China is pretty high

hi mate thanks for the info, but i've also read a lot of people recommending shopping in Guangzhou? I guess if we stick to reputable shops/dealers we should be fine?

Hope this could help ( it is in Chinese )
    http://xgame8.com/shop.php?userid=100150

Website said it is primary agent of Kason in Guangzhou, location is D09 inside the Sports Mall of "Tianhe" Sports Center.

With this card ( free for apply ), you can get different discount at different stores. For D09, it is 40% off. http://xgame8.com/xcard_main.php

There are two other major locations where selling sports equipments, "Dongchuan" Road and "Ersha" Island. You can find these chinese in the second link above " 康体城( A区 B区 C区 D区) 二沙岛 东川及其它 "

I wish I was in Guangzhou to help. BTW, Hongkong is a good place, too. As long as you can find the correct store.

Sorry for my late reply, just got back in GZ and I checked it out at Tianhe Sports Center today.

    Kason 300A: rmb1380 (approx $172)
    Woven 9: rmb1030 (approx $128)
RSL XP2: I forgot this model when I was there but did stop by the RSL shop and got a name card of the vendor. gotta check it tomorrow.

For all the rackets you can have 30% discount or 40% off without string.

RSL X2 (variant of XP2) sells at ¥1920,same discount. crazy.

not worthier than Yonex nano 9000.

btw,to all the shops inside the TSC, you'll have to find them one by one on internet, coz they stand severally for their own companies or brands, not for TSC.

Anyway mate, thanks for your help and if you know a website for any shop in TH (in English please) where we can see the prices then please send/post the link here.
