hi james, what do Skip M Holes, Tie Off M ,Start C, and Tie Off C mean? furthermore, there has some values that mean to the terms above, what is that?
M = main; C = cross. So Tie Off M = After stringing the main, tie off at M 8B which is the eighth hole on the Main from the throat. In this case, B means bottom and T means the top so 8T is eight hole from the top of frame. Note that Klipper tension is between 15 to 18 lbs. Hmmm....
Liability. Pretty sure that if they stated higher tensions, string and racquet breakage claims would find their way to Klipper or whoever wrote the numbers down. Have tried a Klippermate in the past, personally would not recommend using it with badminton racquets higher than 20 pounds. The racquet bracing did not hold the racquet securely (IMHO) and there is a bit of racquet head movement during the tensioning. The mounts were more designed for tennis racquets in mind, and badminton was an afterthought.
Also noticed that for Wilson (18 - 22 lbs) racquets, Klipper recommended tension range is higher than Yonex's (15 - 18 lbs); Carlton is at 16 - 18 lbs; Prince varies from 16 to 17 or 17 to 23 lbs depending on racquet model.
