We are looking for a professional Coach or Coach/Player for our club in Sicily, Italy for the Season 2007/2008. (September -April).

We are a club with some players playing in the top italian league and we are trying to further develop Badminton in our region and become one of the leading clubs in the country.
To achieve our goal we have decided to engage a professional Coach, preferably from Malaysia, Indonesia or China for the next Season. A coach who will also play for our team will be ideal and prefered.

To avoid disappointments on both sides, we are planning to hold assessment sessions in Kuala Lumpur in July.

Please PM me if you are interested to learn more about the detailed package and compensation.

    Andy

    Webolution,

Language will be a very important aspect especially in terms of coaching and even for players going to a foreign land. you might want to ellaborate on communication / language skills of the candidate as well what to expect from the italian players and the city.

Overall sounds like a fantastic idea.

Good point. I fergot about the language skills etc.

The club is based 10km from Catania City, 20km from Mount Etna and 5km from the sea. It is a small village but with the guarantee of a very good integration in the daily life.
The club consists of 40 active members in mixed levels. They currently do not have players in the top league but are about to sign-up a player who will rank among the top 5 in Italy.
It will be the seasons goal for the coach and the team to help 3 players from the 2nd highest league to get up to the top rankings.

Language is a problem in Italy. A few players are fluent in english, most have basic english skills. Best of course would be a coach who speaks Italian but it is not a must. We believe that english will be good enough - however, the coach must be a good communicator and bring patience as well.
