I just got this lovely racket for less than a month and it died on me. I have fallen for this racket.Sigh.

    4U G4 specs with Yonex NBG-95 strings at 24lbs

It snapped at 4 o'clock at the frame when i did a jump smash.I am so depressed now.My very first AT racket.....

That's exactly were my AT 800 OF broke, except that it said hello to a cousin before leaving this world. Hopefully where you bought helps you out.

I am wondering myself.. I did a jump smashed and there was funny sound...And soon after i was speechless..

It is done by this professional stringer than does it for pro players

Check with the store you bought it from. They should be able to return it for a new one. Explain to them it was a clean break, not a clash.

I actually got it from a friend who is a state player that is sponsored by Yonex.

I hope that she can get a new one for me...It is very depressing..

If she is actually sponsored by YY, you will have better luck because she can take it to the distributer and biatch about it and the distributer will do the exchange for her.
Is she a good friend and a good looking friend?:D

I think it won't be too difficult for you to get a replacement because she is sponsored. Only that, would it take time or not. I broke my ti7 light after a powerful smash but it happened exactly in the middle, on top of the racquet. After checking on many times on the seller (2 months now) he gave me good news (for him,not for me) that I'll get a replacement in another month. Now 3 months for a replacement is too long for me especially when I really like the racquet.
The seller showed me 2 cab21 which he just got as replacement, and which took 3 months also to arrive. The question that really boggles me is the durability of yonex racquets. It's so expensive yet so fragile. Not to mention the defects in many of them. A friend of mine also broke his ti7 light two weeks ago after a smash. Sometimes yonex dissapoints me.

I dont mind waiting..I seriously dont mind..

I am still so so sad over it..it is going to be so hard to convince yonex to replaced one. Hopefully it will not be a biggie

    BlurryD,

Since she is a sponsored player, hopefully you can ask her to get you a 3U version. See how that works out.

Well i am happy with the 4U cant really play with the 3U..Well i dont know but all her head heavy rackets are 4U and light headed ones are 3U.

She is a big fan of AT 800 OF..

Speaking of which her car got stolen a few days back along with her rackets , shoes and bag.

some of them were bought some of them were sponsored.

Benny, have you tried the 3U of the AT900T? You might have a different interpretation because the 3U does swings fast enough for the power.

sorry to hear~! I have heard about some durability issues with the 4u's but not @ 24lbs! The 3u's are supposed to be a tad more durable but try it out first as their weight is a little heavier
