Please judge based on the photos. I just had my racket strung using BG85 at 22lbs. I never noticed this before but that may be because I never paid close attention to the racket. The racket is an MP23. The photos show the frame at the 4 o'clock or 8 o'clock position. What I'm concerned about is the streak running across the frame.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like a hairline crack. Where did you purchase this from?

ouch... I know that some sportcheck in the past is notorious for cracking racquets~~ see if you can get a new one under warranty!

Should I keep playing with this racket until it breaks, then go for the warranty? I've only had this racket for about 2 months.

I'm hoping that I can at least use these strings that I paid for.

doesnt really look like a "crack" but more like a chip( waiting to happen), but you should check in with sportschek too make sure about the warranty. Btw, optiblue is right, sportschek is known for efective products( jsut badminton tho)...

    Green,

    SportCheck is bad!! Avoid them.

Drop by Tad's in Vancouver, have Gary there take a look at it. Explain the story for him. Chances are you may walk out with a new racket.

They located at 8570 Granville Street.

Where did you get it strung? The thing looks like the damaged caused by the string machine side support.

Sportchek horror stories, i have a little story of the time i overheard a worker and the stringer speaking, and it goes something like this:

Worker(W): hey i thought you only knew how to string tennis racquets.

Stringer(S): Yea, but tennis and badminton racquets can't be that much
different, afterall badminton racquets are only thinner.

    W: Yea probably.

S: Anyways I'll start stringing now, watch me, its gonna be the same thing as
    tennis racquet.

W: Ok just don't break it.

At this point i was like "wow someone is gonna have a !@!#ed up racquet. Then i walk along the counter where they string, and the guy does completely the wrong thing, (i saw people string at abbies and tads before)
Then he started stringing, and i saw the frame warp, cause he freaken dropped the weight to like 32lbs @,@ on the first string, and he continues and then after like 20 mins i was like "hmm im guessing another 2 minutes till the frame warps so much that it breaks" and what do you know at around 1:50 secs the frame gives off a wierd sound(something between a crushing sound and a cracking sound) and i was like GAHAHHAHAHAH i knew it(poor guy got his racquet screwed up).

Thats my sportchek story, so i swear never ever to go to sportchek as they won't replace your racquet with another exact same model, as they don't have any higher end racquets or other brands besides Black Knight and like Wilson and some low end Yonex racquets like an Armortec-250 and like a MP-28 @.@ or like a Cab8200 LIGHT. SO GUYS NEVER EVER !@#$EN GO TO SPORTCHEK TO STRING YOUR RACQUET OR ELSE YOU WILL BREAK MORE RACQUETS THAN DINK.

Possibly a big laugh for someone incompetent to string a badminton racket properly when they said they could do it like tennis :D

How sure are you that it's the stringer's fault? The photos actually look slightly different from the real thing.

Maybe I will show my racket to a very experienced badminton player who used to compete regionally and see what he says.

because if the crack wasn't there before you strung it, its 99.9% the stringers fault and 1% the rat inside the building's fault
